I pulled into the familiar town before exiting the Aston Martin. I looked around. My home looked different than I last remembered it. I entered a restaurant and took a seat at the bar. "New to town?" The bartender asked. "Not exactly." I answered.

I glanced around the building before I heard individuals whispering. But I noticed nobody inside was moving their lips.

I peered out the window and found someone outside moving their lips in sync with the whispering.

Come on, dude, just grab a girl and let's go. We're going to get caught.

We're not going to get caught. Calm down, I'm just waiting for the right one to pass us. Then I'll rob her.

There she is. Jenna Sommers. Perfect.

I furrowed my brows before putting a $100 bill in the counter and walking out.

I heard a scream pierce my eardrums, making my head ring. I looked around before rocketing across the town square as an inconceivable blur.

I saw the two men pinning a blonde woman against a brick wall behind a building.

"Let her go." I announced from behind them.

"And what are you gonna do about it if we don't?" One of the men asked pointing a gun at me.

"Let. Her. Go." I stated calmly. "Nah. I think we'll kill you, rob your dead corpse, then kill her and rob her too." He said with a wicked grin.

I held my hands up. "Listen to me. Nobody has to get hurt. Just put the gun down. And let this nice lady go." I said.

"No." He shot back before pulling the trigger.

The woman screamed.

I stood still as I watched the bullet slowly travel through the air towards me. I let out a sigh of annoyance. "They never listen." I said walking over to the bullet and plucking it out of the air, crushing it between my thumb and pointer finger.

I walked over to the gun-wielding man. I stared at the gun before two red beams of light shot from eyes and clashed into the barrel of the gun, heating the metal up. I moved to the other man and ripped a metal pipe off a wall.

I grabbed the man and pinned him to the wall before slamming the metal pipe into the wall beside the man. I bent the pipe, bring it across the man's chest and jamming the end of the pipe into the wall on the other side of him.

I grabbed the purse from the armed man and returned it to the hand of the woman.

I walked passed the man before turning around before slamming my fist into his crotch, hearing a crunch within his body.

I returned to my spot and watched as time resumed its normal course.

A high pitched squeal escaped the armed man's lips as he dropped to the ground. The other man screamed as to how he was now attached to the wall.

The woman looked around her stunned. I shoved my hands into my pockets as I walked over to her. "Wha- how? What?" She murmured. "That was lucky." I said with a charming smile.

"How?" She asked with wide eyes. "You must have some guardian angel looking out for you. I should be dead right now." I said putting on a flawless performance for the lady.

"That was crazy. I was sure I saw you got shot." She said with furrowed brows. "Misfire." I said with a shrug of my shoulders. "There is a man...attached...to a wall." She said slowly. "Yeah. That I can't explain. That's just strange." I said.

"Get me out of this!" The man shouted.

"Are you okay?" I asked her. "Am I okay? Am I okay? Me?! Are you okay?! You seem suspiciously calm about all this." She rambled. "I've seen a lot weird shit in my life." I stated.

"And you're just gonna accept that..this..just happened?" She asked. I pushed my lower lip outward. "Yeah. Basically. Bye." I said turning to leave. "Hey! Wait! Who—" She started. "Aesir. But you can call me Clark." I said before leaving with a smirk.
