The day after her birthday party, Zephyr was packed and ready to go to Caldera Cay Island. Her bags laid inside her house, near the door, as she said goodbye to her family.
"Don't do anything stupid, okay kid?" Astrid says, hugging her daughter. "I have enough grey hairs from you; I don't need anymore."
"How will you know if I do anything stupid?" Zephyr asks. Astrid smirks.
"A mother always knows." Hiccup comes up behind her.
"Are you sure you have everything?" Hiccup asks.
"Yes Dad, I have everything." Zephyr sighs.
"Let me just double check—" Hiccup says, going to the bags. Astrid grabs him by the collar of his tunic and pulls him back.
"If she says she has everything, she has everything." Astrid promises, winking at her daughter. Zephyr nods at her gratefully as she grabs her bags.
"Well," Zephyr says. "I'll see you guys in a couple of weeks!" She walks out the door. As they close behind her, she could hear her father and mother bickering. Zephyr starts the trek down towards the "docks"; which is just a small beach at the base of a cliff that the fishermen and ferrymen have decided to park their ships. As she nears the beach, she spots the familiar face of Dae and her father.
Zephyr gulps. "Hey, Dae." She calls, and Dae looks over to her. She nods her head in compliance, and her father turns towards her. Zephyr's eyes widen: Chief Ragnar is huge.
"Oh, good morning, Chief." Zephyr says, putting down her bags. "What are you doing here?"
Ragnar smiles his Prince Charming-smile and Zephyr feels her knees go weak. "We're leaving." Zephyr cocked her head.
"But you're still in recovery." Zephyr told him. Dae rolled her eyes as if to say not to worry about him.
"Believe me; I have tried talking him out of leaving." Dae explains. "But, my father is a stubborn man." Chief Ragnar smirks and chuckles.
Zephyr smiled inside her mind. She'll finally have Dae out of her hair—
"It's for your protection." Ragnar told her. Wait, protection? "We will be traveling with you, Sardarina, to Caldera Cay Island. There, we will make our journey back to our tribe."
'What's a Sardarina?' Zephyr thought. She heard a horn blasting through the air, and realized it was coming from the ship she, and now Chief Ragnar, would be traveling on.
"Ship departs in two minutes!" The Captain bellowed. "Twooooo minuteeeees!" Chief Ragnar turns away from Zephyr and puts an arm around his daughter. Their mouths move but no words come out, and Dae finished the conversation and stands up straighter, before walking up the plank.
"Here; let me carry your bags." Ragnar says, reaching to grab her bags. Zephyr pulls away.
"Absolutely not! You're going to strain yourself even more." Zephyr quips. "And I don't want any blood on my clothes...again." Ragnar smirks, and they walk towards the boat. As they board, Zephyr turns towards New Berk once again.
'I'm sorry, Dad.' She thinks, and walks up the plank.

An hour later, they were out in the middle of the Barbaric Archipelago. Zephyr leaned against the railings of the ship, her eyes trailing the horizon. Her nerves were going haywire; Dae was traveling with her to Caldera Cay. And staying there. How was she going to look for dragons with Dae breathing down her neck every second?
