Chapter Six: The Swinging Blades of DOOM!

"We're not going to die, 'we're going to get through this," Benjamin reassured Niko,

When two blades went to one side, 'the other two went to the other side, "You're telling me we have to get past this?" Benjamin asked 'pointing inside the vault,

Turmin snickered, "Yup, and this is only the first test!" He answered,

"You seem to know a lot about this vault," Reila said,

"Well, I've been inside the vault multiple times, so I know a lot about the tests!" Turmin explained,

"Well, if you know a lot about what's inside the vault 'then you can come with us and help," Benjamin replied,

Turmin looked at him 'smiled, and replied, "As long as I get to be with Niko 'it's fine with me!" Turmin explained 'skipping over to Niko,

Benjamin walked through the doorway and into the vault, "All we have to do is time it perfectly, and we'll get through this." He explained 'motioning for the others to come in,

"I wonder what makes them move?" Niko asked,

"Magic," Turmin answered,

"What?" She asked,

"Magic makes them swing!" Turmin explained,

Niko smirked, "You really know your stuff 'don't you?" She giggled,

"Well, I have existed for over a thousand years 'so I've had plenty of time to study anything I find." He replied,

Reila looked at him in disbelief, "Dude, you're that old? You look like a kid!" She exclaimed,

He smiled, "I'm old in demon years! I'm like ten or something in your weird Human years." Turmin explained,

Benjamin took a deep breath, "I guess I'll go across first."

"Please be careful," Reila said to Benjamin,

"I'll be as careful as possible," Benjamin replied,

"Don't die!" Turmin shouted,

Benjamin started across the stone bridge, stopping in front of the first axe and waiting for an opening. He then continued until he reached the second one 'he waited for an outlet again and then continued. Benjamin stopped at the third axe, "What's wrong?!" Reila asked 'shouting across the room,

"This one is moving faster than the others!" He shouted back,

"Well, just be careful!" Reila responded,

He took a deep breath and continued. The third axe was moving at an incredibly rapid rate 'he timed it perfectly and dodged it. The fourth and final axe was facing Benjamin 'it was swinging faster than the last, "Oh, you've got to be kidding me." He thought 'his nerves were going crazy. He took a moment to study the movement of the axe 'he timed his action perfectly 'dodging the axe and making it through the first test.

Reila sighed, "Great job!" She shouted 'smiling,

"You got to cross next!" Benjamin shouted 'motioning for her to come,

"I forgot about that." Reila wined,

She walked towards the bridge 'taking a deep breath, "You sure I can't just stay behind?!" Reila asked 'staring at the first axe,

"I don't know if we'll come back this way! There could be an exit at the end for all we know!" Benjamin replied,

She took several deep breaths, "You can do this." She reassured herself, 'stepping forward and dodging the axe. "That totally wasn't terrifying!" She exclaimed, 'continuing forward. Reila came up to the second axe 'she waited for an opening 'dodging it. As she walked toward the third axe, 'she tripped and stumbled a bit 'almost falling into the axe's path 'she scrambled to stand up 'panicking.

"Hey, try to stay calm! You only have two more axes left! If I got through them, 'then you can too!" Benjamin shouted 'trying to calm her down,

"Promise me I won't die?!" She asked Benjamin 'fear covering her face,

He sighed, "You know I can't promise that 'right?" He responded,

Reila took a deep breath and sighed, "You can do this, you can do this, you can do this." She quietly repeated to herself, 'gaining the courage to dodge the axe,

As she passed by the third axe, 'she could now see how fast the fourth one was swinging 'it swung so quickly that you couldn't see an opening unless you kept your eye on it. Reila watched it waiting for the perfect time to go through, and when there was an opening, 'she didn't hesitate.

She tumbled to the ground on the other side of the axe, "I made it? I made it!" Reila shouted with relief,

Benjamin looked across the room to Niko and Turmin, "Alright, you two next!" He shouted,

Turmin looked at Niko 'she was visibly scared, "Hey, are you okay? Are you going to be able to cross that?" He asked her 'worried,

She looked at him 'tears in her eye, "Um, n-no." Niko studdered,

"I don't usually do, but she needs to get across... " Turmin thought, "Niko, take my hand," He said 'stretching his hand out,

"W-Why?" She asked 'confused,

Turmin rolled his eyes, "Just do it!"

Niko took his hand, and Turmin smiled, 'raising his other hand and snapping his fingers. In the blink of an eye, they teleported across the room to Benjamin and Reila.

"Why didn't you do that for all of us?" Benjamin questioned,

"Because teleporting takes a lot of energy 'plus you're going to want me to have the energy to teleport us to safety for the next test," Turmin explained,

"W-What's the next test?" Niko asked,

"Well, you're about to find out!" He shouted 'walking over to a door that resembled the one at the entrance, "Tür öffen!" Turmin chimed, 'the door opened like the last one,

The inside was the entrance to a maze, 'the interior was massive,

"Wow, you could fit an entire Titian inside here!" Niko exclaimed,

"I wouldn't yell if I were you." Turmin replied 'almost whispering,

"Why...?" Reila asked,

Turmin snickered, "Because you don't want what's inside to know where you are." He explained, "Welcome to The Maze of Beasts!" Turning around, 'Turmin shouted,
