I Love To Hate You

Chapter five

"Sydney what do I tell him?" Caroline sobbed.
"Car, I don't know, this is a bad situation." I said.
"I can't believe I cheated on him after a year. what was I thinking." caroline cried.
You probably think I am being a terrible friend, on the inside I am jumping for joy. Caroline cheated on Hayes and he found out! Maybe I'll have a chance even though he hates me. But hey everyone can change right?

There was a knock at the door.

"Oh no that must be him." Caroline jumped up to get the door.

Hayes stormed in.

"What the heck Car! why?" Hayes said.

"I-I don't know what I was thinking. im so so so sorry!" Caroline cried.

"It's over." Hayes said.

"No no no! You've got to forgive me."

"No I don't. Listen Car, I don't hate you. We can still be friends. I won't hold this against you!" Hayes said.

"I-" Caroline was saying but Hayes cut her off.

"It's ok." Hayes said about to leave.

"What are you looking at Sydney?" Hayes said angrily.

"I'm sorry I was just zoning off." I said while my face flushed a light pink.

"Take a picture it'll last longer, Syd." he smirked then left.

I melted that he called me Syd and that he smirked at me. Just can't let Caroline see!

"I guess it's officially over." Caroline cried.

"There are better people out there. DONT worry."

"I know. I guess it's for the best." She smiled.

"Great. lets go get ready for the football game." I jumped up.

I put on my cheer uniform and put my hair up in a clean curly pony tail then put my blue bow in. I then put my regular makeup on with a little sparkles on my eyelids.

"Ready to go Car?" I asked.

"Yup!"

We hopped into my moms car and left for the field.

"Here girls! have a great time. I'll be here later." my mom said.

"Ok." I said.

We hopped out of her car and walked through the field. The whole football team stared at me and Caroline as we walked in.

"Uh what is this?" I asked her.

"I have no-" I started to say, but got cut off by..

Hayes.

"Hey Syd." Hayes smiled.

"Um hey." I said awkwardly. He went back to warming up.

"Well that was weird." I said to Caroline.

"Yeah." she looked down obviously hurt.

"Well this should be an interesting game." I sighed.

"Agreed." Caroline shrugged.
