Silence.

Silence flowed throughout the room.

They hated the silence, it was lonely.

The room they were in, was muggy, humid, and very hot. The h/c teen was in an unbearably uncomfortable situation.

A deep, husky voice cleared his throat as he entered the room, "So, Mx. L/n.. you do understand that-"

They stayed silent, not speaking a single word. Their arms were crossed in an intimidating manner as they wore a scowl.

"We need you to talk to us, L/n. How come you murdered innocent lives, and how come you have an unlicensed sword?!"

They sighed softly, sliding down their f/c haori from their shoulder, revealing a blood soaked uniform beneath.

"This is innocent?! They were going to kill me if I didn't do anything! Do you guys have no idea what a Demon Slayer is?!" The h/c teen stood up from their seat angrily.

The interrogator jumped at Y/n's outburst.

"No? Is this some kind of new fantasy that kids are developing these days?" He asked, raising a brow.

"No. It's very much real. I work and risk my life every single goddamn day, and this is how I'm repaid! I protected this village, and I'm getting put in jail?!" They shouted, their fists bawled.

"Mx. L/n! Sit down and calm down! Demons don't exist, are you hearing yourself?!"

"Yes, and I showed you my proof; the bite marks they've given me. You can choose to not believe me, but there are man eating creatures out there that people like me defeat." Y/n paused, turning their back to the investigator. "I'm leaving now."

"You can't just leave! You-"

Y/n disappeared from the man's sight.

"What the-"

"What a great day to be a Hashira." They spat, mentally cursing out the investigator.

///

The h/c teen found themself skipping idly around the village before ultimately leaving and heading for the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters.

As their footsteps became lighter, and their eyes grew sharper, they looked on ahead of a typical forest.

Y/n grabbed onto the hilt of their sword securely, a nervous bead of sweat rolled down their cheek. A crow flew past them.
