After their official first class was dismissed, the first years spent the rest of the evening getting to know one another, as well as the older students over dinner. According to Madam Bluemoon's indications, all meals were served in the Main Atrium that was right next to the Grand Amphitheatre.

The Atrium had circular floating oak tables and adjourning wooden benches for the students to sit on. To catch a seat at the table, students had to step on sem-visible flights of stairs which either moved or disappeared if they lingered on forever and didn't move fast enough. Fortunately, they didn't hit the floor, but landed on invisible netting which became visible only when the students fell on it.

"Look, Amanda, Ivy!" shouted Liam who was standing on the girls' bench, preparing to jump from a five metres height. "Why isn't everyone doing this? Let's all jump at the same time," he said gesturing towards Abner and Lawuer who were chatting with Solace and Concordrea.

By now, the older students were all staring and laughing knowingly.

"No, thank you, mate," said Abner. "I'm rather comfortable here."

"I'll jump with you!" came Lawuer's eager voice. "Let's hold hands, so we can land at the same time!" he suggested.

The two naughty boys joined their hands and jumped. Much to the girls' and the other newcomers' dismay, they didn't hit the invisible netting, but disappeared without a trace, only to be returned by Madam Bluemoon who seemed to scold them for having their brains "too full of thermite dust."

The ceiling was entirely made up of blue stardust and orange fire lamps adorned the tables while peculiar foods floated through the adjourning kitchens' doors. Each table had a framed menu papyrus that spoke to the students.

Fortunately, the professors did not grab any meals in the same place as the students, but in the Majestically Jinxed Hall, situated just opposite the Atrium where the two daring boys landed after their courageous jump.

"Hello, there, youngsters! Want to know today's dinner menu?" asked one of the enchanted papyruses. "Roasted Moonrabbit with a side of Stir-Fried Mosskiwi and Cireafruit Tarte Tatin with Wicked Tea and Cloud Spiced Tonic Water."

The girls sat together at one of the lower tables and eyed the food warily. Much to the older student' amusement, after Concordrea's first unsuccessful attempt of grabbing a seat at the table, her roommates have finally just managed to help her up by jumping from a semi-visible staircase to another until they reached an empty table. This had made them all famished, yet not one of them dare touch the food.

"What's the matter, dears, why is none of you eating?" came Madam Bluemoon's voice from behind the girls. A purple twinkle graced both her eyes as she looked in the direction of the desert.

"Uhm, it's the food, it seems..." Concordrea was still out of breath, before Amanda cut her off.

"Apologies, professor Bluemoon. I was raised in a sorcermagic home, but I've never seen this type of food before," said the blonde girl.

"Oh, you needn't worry, darlings, this food is specific to the Seventh Realm, we take a lot of pride in it," explained the woman just as she grabbed a slice of cireafruit tarte tatin that started to roll around in her palm and yawn. "Now, if you don't mind, I'll take this with me," she said and then continued in a hushed voice. "The kitchen pixies like to keep the professors low on sorcersugar, if you know what I mean."

The girls nodded and started laughing heartily after Madam Bluemoon's departure, but were interrupted by a squeaky voice.

"Ahem, excuse me, young ladies, I will not tolerate sitting on a fancy plate forever!" said the Mosskiwi. "At least have the decency to try before judging me!"
