Ch. 9

It was almost the end of the tour for the guys.

But whenever they would preform on stage, I was able to watch from the side.

Matt occasionally shot me a grin or a small smile while he sang too.

But once, while I was standing backstage, I couldn't help but question the blonde girl who was always watching me.

The guys were in the middle of performing Scream when I decided to talk to this woman.

She looked to be about my age too.

"Excuse me?" I smiled kindly to her as she looked at me.

"Oh, hello." She smiled the faintest smile.

"I was just wondering, is um...is something wrong? I couldn't help but ask." I chuckled.

"No, no," she arranged the box of pastries on the table and paused before she sighed, "do you remember me?" She asked.

"I-" I paused and looked at the tall and pretty female just in case I really DID remember her.

But I didn't.

"N-no...I'm sorry." I looked at the floor.

"Well I'm-"

"So why don't we welcome her out here," Matt's voice called from the stage.

The girl and I both looked over with raised eyebrows.

"Come on out here, Tal." Matt grinned and gestured me.

The crowed roared.

My chest felt tight.

No.

I couldn't.

What?

Why does he even want-

"Talia, get your ass out here, babe." Brian took over the mic.

"Don't call her babe, idiot." Matt knocked him upside the head, allowing his fedora to fall to the stage floor.

I cautiously walked forward.

And when the lights shined in my eyes, not only was I blind, but deaf from the screaming fans.

"Remember what we rehearsed on the tour bus?" Matt asked as I raised an eyebrow.

He smirked at me.

Then I got it.

"Oh," I laughed just the slightest bit, "yeah."

"Well lets do it then." He said just as The Art of a Subconscious Illusion started playing.

You mean...

I have to scream in front of all of these people?

Hundreds.

Maybe thousands.

The crowed went insane.

Did I mention that?

Even if I did, I mean it still.

And Damn did this crowed go insane when they played a really old song.

"This can't be happening," Matt looked at me, "why is this happening?" He asked the crowed as they cheered.

"Who the fuck are you?" He pointed to Johnny's chest as he grinned and shook his head.

"WHO THE FUCK!"

Syn played the next riff as clean as possible and Matt started screaming again.

I realized I couldn't just stand here like a frozen fool forever.
