Y/n POV
"Sullys stick together." Dad states. We had just moved from the 'jungle' to the Metkayina Clan. We all nod and say it quietly. "Say it with your chest." Dad yells. "Sullys stick together." We all say slightly louder. He dismisses us. Lo'ak, Neteyam, Kiri, Tuk and I all go to the docks. We're greeted by Tysirea, Roxto, and Aonung. They dive into the ocean gracefully. Lo'Ak and Neteyam look at each other and jump in like hooligans. I giggle and jump in with Kiri.
Tuk jumps in last, with a small splash. I follow after Neteyam and Lo'ak as they follow after Tsireya and her brother and his friend. I catch up to Neteyam and Lo'ak. We three go up for air. Tuk does too. Tsireya makes hand signs and we all shrug confused on what she says. She signals for us to follow her. We share a collective look and go back down under the sea.
After a while of holding our breath, we four go up for air. I gasp out for air as I rise above the sea. Tsireya and her brothers and his friend joins us. "You guys aren't good at swimming, maybe at swimming at trees" Aonung spits at us. Tsireya hits us. "You're too fast!" Tuk complains. "Just breathe." Tsireya states calmly. "We don't speak this finger talk we don't know what y'all are saying." Lo'ak says, mimicking the signs with his hands.
"I will teach you." Tsireya says, staring into his eyes. Neteyam and I share a look. "Where's Kiri?" Roxto asks. It catches me off guard and I say I'm going to look for her. Tsireya makes Aonung joins me as we look for her. He immediately swims way faster then me like he's tryna lose me someway. I roll my eyes and look for her. I find Kiri gazing at sea life. My heart stops racing and I'm calm again. I tap her shoulder. She seems surprised by me but points at the sea life. I roll my eyes and bring her to the surface.
"I found her." I gasp. We join the others near the sand. "We will teach you all how to ride an Ilu. To live here you have to ride one." Aonung explains. Tsireya takes Lo'ak's hand and leads him away to another ilu. Neteyam and I share a look knowing they both have a crush on each other. Kiri rolls her eyes and Roxto smiles at her. "Roxto should show Kiri how to ride an Ilu." Tsireya yells. Kiri is taken back from this but follows Roxto. I giggle and look at Aonung. He looks at me then at Roxto and Kiri.
"Neteyam!" Dad yells from the hut. He shares a look with me and runs to see what dad needs. It's just Aonung and I. He calls an Ilu around us. "Connect the Ilu with your braid." He says, holding up the bond for me. I nod and connect it. My skin flares. "Feel her heartbeat, feel her emotions." Aonung said, staring into my eyes. I look down at the Ilu. I get on top of her and adjust my body. He stares at me up and down.
"If you think it, she'll do it." Aonung says. He looks in my eyes. I forget about the Ilu for a second and look him in his blue ocean eyes. I lose focus and turn to look at him. He looks back with interest. I shake my head and go back to my riding stance. He looks away too. I take off in the water, slow at first but become fast near the end. I lose my grip and let go of the ilu. I can already hear him laughing at me.
"Not too good at riding Ilu hm forest girl?" Aonung asks, cockily. I roll my eyes and playfully punch him in the shoulder. "Shut up Fish lips." I respond, giggling. He punches my shoulder back. I looks at him and punch his shoulder back too. We start play fighting on the sand. I giggle as he pins me down. "Fine you win." I whisper. He chuckles, "Giving up so soon, princess?".
I blush and flip us both over. "Who me? Never." I say, keeping his energy. I'm sitting on top of him, like I'm riding my banshee. His hands are behind his head, like he's enjoying this. "Pervert!" Kiri POV
I watch as Y/n and Aonung walk off into the woods it looks like. We just got here how do already two of my siblings have crushes?
Roxto snaps me back into reality when he grabs my hand. "We should get back to training." He says. I nod and get back on the Ilu. I glance over my shoulder one more time to see that Aonung and Y/n are gone. "Kiri." Roxto says, slightly annoyed at me not paying attention. I apologize and get back in my riding position.
I swear if Y/n comes back with Aonung and their clothes messy, my brothers and dad will kill him.
I return my focus to Roxto and he adjusts my back. I blush and look away from him. He looks away too and nods when it's time for me to take off.
Y/n POV
"Where are you taking me?" I wonder out loud. I follow Aonung into the forest. He just chuckles and tells me to keep up. I roll my eyes as I follow him to a gorgeous tree. I look up at it with excitement. He smiles at me. I turn around back to him and cup my hands around his face. Aonung looks down onto me with his pretty ocean eyes. I look back up at him, dying to swim in his eyes.
He takes off his loincloth. I blush, and look away flustered from this sudden movement. "What happened to that attitude at the beach hm forest girl?" He asks. "I- I...
