Leaves off right after season 7, year of 1914 (I know, season 7 is in 1912, but I need to change the date for history reasons. Everyone will still be the same age like in the ending of season 7, just different year.)

After Hetty's speech everyone finished their cake and the tables were moved aside for a place to dance. The bride and groom danced first, which was followed by the father/daughter dance. After that anyone could join the floor and people started to get up and find partners. Through it all Felix watched with interest. His sister Cecily and Albert were dancing. He and Albert were leaving in a month and he was glad his younger sister could enjoy the moment. Izzy was sitting quietly watching as well. She had been furious that he had not told her about signing up for the Navy and they hadn't spoken since she had stormed off angry and hurt. Felix didn't blame her, he probably should've told her sooner. He sighed and got up to take a walk.

Cecily King saw that her best friend wasn't joining in on the dance and she politely excused herself. Albert being the gentleman he was let her go, but promised to talk with her later. Cecily made her way over and sat down next to her, "You look melancholy." Izzy sighed, "Felix and I got in a fight earlier." Cecily nodded, "I assume about him joining the Navy without telling you?" "Yes. I wish he had at least told me instead of just showing up in his Navy uniform. He can be so frustrating sometimes!" Cecily noticed that Izzy needed to go somewhere and talk privately, "Hey Iz, how about we go to the barn and talk, just the two of us?" Izzy gave her a grateful smile, "Yeah, that sounds good. Let me just let Muriel know where I'm going." Cecily nodded, "I'll go let my mom know too and we can meet back here." The girls split up and came back minutes later and then headed toward the barn.

Felix wandered around the lighthouse thinking. He sat down on a rock and stared out at the sea. Soon enough he would be on a ship, learning the ways of sea-life. His thoughts were interrupted when his father sat down next to him, "A lot on your mind?" "Yeah, just thinking of the future." Alec nodded, "How about your future with Izzy?" Felix chuckled dryly, "She hates me right now, I didn't tell her I was signing up." "Ah, maybe not the best move." "Nope, now she hates me." "Did you try talking with her?" Felix sighed, "Yeah, she got really mad and stormed off." Alec put a hand on his son's shoulder, "Felix she's hurting right now. Her best friend is leaving and she's probably mad that you didn't tell her about your decision." Felix ran a hand through his hair, "I know dad, hopefully I can fix things before I leave." Alec patted his son's shoulder, "I have complete faith in you that you will."

Izzy and Cecily plopped down in the hayloft of the King barn. People were milling about outside the barn, but the inside was empty, except for the animals. Cecily watched as her best friend covered her face with her hands and leaned back into the hay sobbing. Cecily pulled Izzy into a hug and waited until the tears stopped. Izzy pulled away and wiped her eyes, "Sorry Cess, I'm just so confused right now." Cecily smiled, "That's what friends are for." Izzy fiddled with a piece of hay, "I'm not staying in Avonlea, my father has accepted a job in Halifax." Cecily was shocked, "What!?" Izzy sighed, "Yeah, that's why I've been so out of sorts lately." Cecily had to take it in before speaking, "Are you ever going to come back?" Izzy shrugged, "It depends, but I know for certain that I'll come back as often as I can." Cecily breathed a sigh of relief, "Good, because you had me worried there for a few seconds there." Cecily hesitated, "Have you told Felix yet?" Izzy narrowed her eyes, "If he doesn't want to tell me about life altering decisions, then I don't have to tell him about this." Cecily put a hand on her arm, "Iz he deserves to know, I know he didn't tell you, but if it makes you feel better, none of us knew." Izzy crossed her arms, "I'll think about it, but for know, can we talk about something else?" Cecily smiled, "I heard that Sally Potts is dating a rich millionaire in Carmody, but then again her mom was the one spreading the rumor." The girls looked at each other and burst out laughing.

As Felix neared the barn he heard sounds of laughter and he figured it was Cecily and Izzy. After talking with his dad he was going to the barn to feed the animals, it was getting late. The dancing was still going on and probably would for another hour. He opened the door and started to get feed for one of the horses. Cecily poked her head down, "Hey bro, what are you doing?" Felix looked up, "Oh, hey there, I'm just feeding the animals, it's almost 5. Cecily got down and Izzy reluctantly followed. Felix looked at her before turning away, "So, you two where catching up?" Cecily nodded, "Yep." Cecily cleared her throat awkwardly, "I need to get, uh a glass of water, I'll be right back", she dashed away before either of them could react. Felix patted the horses head and smiled, "I'm going to miss all the animals and everyone here." Izzy spoke up quietly, "I'll miss Avonlea too." Felix looked at her confused, "What do you mean?" "We're moving", Izzy went on to explain why and where. Felix nodded his head slowly at the end, talking it all in, "So you're leaving, everyone will sure miss you around here." Izzy sat down on a bucket and Felix waited for her to say something. Finally she spoke, "I think we need to talk about us and the future." Felix nodded, "I agree." Izzy crossed her arms, "When were you planning to tell me about the Navy?" Felix looked down, "I don't know, I'm still trying to work out stuff." "So were you planning to tell me at all?" "Yes, I guess I didn't think it would affect you as much as I thought." At that Izzy lost her cool, "Felix King who do you think I am!? You're my best friend and you thought I wouldn't be affected!?" "No, but this was my decision. I didn't tell anyone because I knew everyone would try to talk me out of it. I already had my mind up anyways." Izzy stood up angrily, "I am so angry at you right now that I don't know what to say. All I can say is that I wish I never let myself fall in love with you!" Immediately Izzy knew she had just said something that could never be taken back. She had told Cecily awhile ago about her true feelings toward Felix, but besides Cecily, no one else knew. Now she had accidentally let her true feelings escape. Felix was so surprised that he found himself speechless. Izzy turned red and rushed out of the barn, smacking right into Cecily who was coming back. Both girls stumbled and Felix came out, "Iz wait, please?" Izzy didn't and she hurried off without saying anything. Felix helped his sister up and Cecily raised an eyebrow, "What happened?" Felix scratched his head, "We were in an argument and she said she wished she had never let herself fall in love with me." Cecily groaned, "Oh dear, she must have let it slip by accidentally." Felix looked concerned, "You mean she doesn't actually feel that way?" Cecily chuckled, "No of course she does, but she didn't want you to know yet." "Oh", that's all Felix could say in his shock.
