Y/n and Neteyam have been friends since they were 3. Y/n's parents were friends with Jake and Neytiri. When Lo'ak was born Neteyam was afraid he was going to be a terrible big brother.
Y/n was always there to comfort him through everything though. When her parents passed Jake and Neytiri took Y/n in.
Ever since then she was basically considered a Sully. Mo'at always sensed something between Neteyam and Y/n but never spoke of it.

"Tuk! "Tuk get back here"! I yelled as Tuk ran through the forest. It was up to me to babysit Tuk until the raid was over.
"Looks like you need a little help" a faint voice said. I whipped my head around to see Lo'ak. "Of course I need help! Tuk is too energetic."
I then realized who she was talking to. "When did you guys get back?" "About an hour ago." he chuckled "Where's Neteyam?"
"Worried about your boyfriend?" My face started heating up. I was sure I looked like an idiot. "He's resting , he got hurt pretty bad" Lo'ak stated.
My heart was beating faster than a lion chasing after its prey. "Can you get Tuk? I'm going to see him." I left before he could answer.
Once I got to the tent I saw him laying down with cuts everywhere. "Are you okay?" I asked, stepping closer.
"I'm fine. I told Lo'ak not to tell you." "skxwang" he whispered. As the sun rested over his tent the light shot diamonds from his eyes.
He scooted over making room for me. I layed down next to him, his arm resting on my shoulder.
I looked up at him as he gently kissed my forehead. "I see you Y/n." My face started heating up once more. "I see you Neteyam."
Mo'at peeked into the tent, happy to see that she was right.
