Chapter 3

Jace POV

30 Minutes later

"Sir. you can see your friend. She's almost awake now." the nurse walked out the room. The boy, who's name I learned is Xander, ran into the room. I was so stupid. She could have been really hurt and it was all my fault. I went to leave but Xander poked his head out of the room. "She's not awake. Come here and look after her while I go get the nurse again." he stated. I grumbled and walked towards the room. I went to the bed and gently grabbed her arm. "Tara, wake up. It's time for you to wake up." I said while shaking her softly.

Tara POV

"It's time to wake up." is the first thing I heard. The voice was masculine. "Leave me alone Xander." I grumbled. ''I'm not Xander, but I can fetch him if you want." he said. "Are you Jay?'' the person chuckled. "Jace?" The person was laughing now. "I thought you would recognize me but oh well." I cracked open my eyes. "Why are you here? I thought you didn't care if I got hurt or not." I exclaimed. "Well I was just watching you for your friend." Xander then walked in the room. "TARA! Your awake. ohh good." He smiled warmly. "I"M HERE!" Jay yelled when he walked in. "For you." He held out a panda bear. "Ain't he cute." He faked a really bad southern accent. Cindy and Ever then walk into the room. "Jay stop with your accents. They are horrible." Cindy commented. I huffed. "AHHH all I wanted was sleep. You know what I get in trade. A room full of buffoons." I growled. "Heard that." Ever said. I looked up at her. All the neon colors in her outfit were giving me a headache. "Ever please come back when your not so...so...colorful and bright." I said. "Why?" was her intelligent response. "BECAUSEEEE your giving me a headache." "I should leave now." All our chattering stopped and we all looked at Jace. "No you should stay." Cindy said while winking at me. "All we need is Riley and Griffion and we have a full house." I muttered. " I'M HERE MY PRETTIES! Now I bet you are all wondering why I gathered you all here today." Riley walked in. She has officially lost her marbles. "Poor little Tara, she isn't feeling well." And here comes Griffion. Just what I need. The whole room was loud and it was making my headache worse. " SHUT UP! Now I have a headache and your chatter isn't helping. You can either quiet it down or you can leave. Choose now." I said. They all shut up and anyone could hear a pin drop by how quiet it was in the room. "Now one question at a time." I said. "How are you feeling?" asked Ever. "Okay. My head hurts and my chest is heavy and my burn stings, but other than that I feel fine." "When do you get out?" said Xander. "In a day or two." I sighed. "How did this happen?" Cindy asked while gesturing to my situation. I pointed to Jace. "He can explain how this happened better than I can." He sighed and began explaining. "She overused her spark. When we were battling she tried to use more power than it could create and she passed out. There was water all over the floor so when she passed out she swallowed a bunch of it." He shrugged as if it was nothing. They left soon after that. "I'll come back with some food later. Okay?" asked Xander. "Ya Ya sure whatever." I waved him off. I fell asleep.

*Two Hours Later*

"Food My lady." Xander said as he walked into the room. "Hahahaha. Your a goofball Xander." I said. "Only around people I'm comfortable with. Now you are probably starving so I shall shut up." "I'm not hungry Xander." As soon as I said that my stomach let out a angry dinosaur command. "Let's get that thing food." He poked my stomach. "Hey!" I squealed and smacked him. He pulled out a simple PB&J. "Food Food Food Food Food Food." I started to sing. He sighed and then told me to eat if I wanted to get better. "You sound like my mom." He laughed. "Eat." he ordered. "Yes mom." He shut up after that. I started to doze off. "Your weak and need your sleep. I'll see you in a few days." He kissed my forehead and left. Leaving a note behind. I opened it up and it read

I don't know how to put this but I err I like you alot and I know that I gave you a choice at the fountain but I don't think I could wait for the answer. Will you bestow upon me the huge honour of being you boyfriend?
