with the debut of sugar strike in 2015 , the group had since released two albums , both of which were nominated for "album of the year" in the seoul music awards and the melon music awards. one nomination was given to their debut album "pop: blow a bubble" and two nominations for their first comeback single album "just right."

however , even with all three of these nominations , they unfortunately won none. disappointing losses for not only the members we're sure , but the fans as well , who have been with sugar strike before their debut.
the group's leader , scott yang , went on v-live two days after the seoul music awards aired , giving fans a statement of how he felt about these losses.
at the end of the v-live , scott tells fans "we're excited for what's coming next , and we hope that you all are too. we hope to make you proud , sugarhearts." we can only assume the use of 'we' shows that the other members are feeling the same as him , though no others have currently shared their thoughts on the losses.
