There.. There is nothing to cook...

The kitchen is dirty and smelly.. There is no sign of food. Not even a grain inside.

This made her sad. Her husband must be really poor.. How can he eat his fill with that huge body?

The 'poor husband' who is left outside in shock when she ran inside slowly came to his mind. Heh. Did she finally realize?

He left the axe on the ground and slowly made his way to the house. Stupid prey. Hiding in his house infront of his nose.

The thumping footsteps made shinea curl. She is hugging a dirty cooking wear.

She faced him and lowered her head pitifully, she tried to open her mouth but remembered she cant speak then closed them again.

The only way she could think of is raising the cooking wear infront of his face and rub her tummy, and signalled a gesture as if she is eating.

The giant became again affected. What is she doing? Is she saying she is hungry?... Asking a cannibal for food? She is the food!

But her wary eyes looking at him made him hesitate again. As if she is worrying he would hit her.

Shinea do worry about that. In the village, some of the men there put the blames on their wives if there is not enough food to eat and sometimes she saw those poor women getting hit.

If he hit her... She would surely be 50/50 by then. No.. 70/30.

Her husband seem to be a very silent man. And his face is always shrouded in gloom with that hair covering his face.

She slowly lowered her hand when she did not receive a reply from the man. He.. Must be angry..

"Mm.. " the man suddenly made a sound on his throat and rummages through the dirty house.

She saw him carry out a banch of unknown materials and got outside the house as if leaving then he suddenly look back at her.

Shinea smiled,, is he going hunting? She raises her hand and waved with a smile on her face.

The giant halted again for a moment. Then he turn his back.

Shinea breathed a sigh of relief. Now! Its time to clean!!

They only hunt animals if there is really no prey to come in the mountains.

He had hunted two person just yesterday and they are still in his secret room.

But when he imagined giving her a flesh from those two even he himself felt that it wasnt right.

Her blue eyes and brown hair came again to his mind. Just what is this lady planning to do? And why didnt he killed her yet?

There was no hour later when he had already caught a deer and two rabbit. He walk back to his house and met various 'people' along the way.

People...

They were also humans like them once. But they had mutated to a stranger, animalistic kind of humans that hunted down their past kind.

He was not the only one here. And there are a lot of them.

He bypassed those people and walk deeper into the forest.

He was a bit startled to see his things outside the house. Those chains are dump on the ground. The other boxes containing other things from his preys are also outside.

He furrowed his brows. What is that woman doing?

There was a sound of huffing inside, and the door opened revealing a woman carrying a bunch of dirty kitchen utensils.

She is a bit surprised seeing him. Then a beautiful smile came to her face. As if greeting him 'youre home! '

She put the utensils down and rushes to him so... Innocently.

Then she look up to his figure and her eyes shone when she saw the deer and the rabbit, she happily clapped her hand.

The shining eyes almost look like they were praising him.
But it wasnt that bad.

Shinea is amazed to see her husband catching these prey. She only eat meat on special occasion and meat are really pricey.

Even her poor mother had eaten meat probably a few times in her life.

He suddenly grumbled and look at the boxes.

Shinea didnt know how to say so she made a gesture as if she is sweeping the floor.

He understand at once and he felt complicated.

He then said. "River.. " his voice was so brusque and rough. Its her first time hearing his voice that she is surprised a little.

Realizing that he is going to the river, she immediately told him to wait and rushes to pick the kitchen utensils. Its so heavy! But she need to clean them!

Seeing her struggling over some measly utensils he realized how really weak she is.

He huffed then he suddenly gave her the two rabbit occupying his other hand. "Take.. "

Shinea took them with questioning eyes.

The giant swept the box of kitchen utensils in one hand and nonchalantly walk.

He.. He is really strong.

The river was only 3 minutes walk away from the house. When they reached the river, shinea found a place to clean all the utensils. She doesnt have anything but water and instead used the dirt on the river with its small pebbles and rub them over the dirty kitchen wears.

The giant was just a few steps away from her and cleaning all the animals. He kept the hides this time and threw away the intestines.

Its.. Unusually calm and peaceful.

Shinea never stopped until the kitchen wears are rubbed to silver. .. Is this even real silver?

Shinea had never seen metal this silvery before.

There was a sudden thunder in the sky. She jumped and look up. Its getting dark... Is there a rain?

She immediately put all the utensils on the box and walk to her husband.

The pat on his shoulder startled him he look back and did not noticed how he became relaxed to see her.

She pointed the sky and the giant soon raises his head.

Its gonna rain.. He mostly wont care but... There was her. Tsk. How troublesome. But he still finished his business and carried the utensils as they rush back.
