"Gajeel!!" I heard the scream of a pink haired idiot echo from about a mile away. I sigh and brush my hair out of my eyes.
"What do you want salamander?!" I yelled back.
"They're back!" He screamed and ran into the guild. I assumed he was talking about levy and lucy and I sighed.
"They weren't gone for that long idiot"I looked at him.
"Igneels back!" He yelled and started jumping up and down. My blood turned to ice and now all of the guild is staring at him.
"C'mon I'll show you!" He smiled big and ran out the guild, everyone following in a rush. I sat there, staring at my hands.Igneels back.
But where's Metalicana?Disappointment settled on my shoulders as I stood up reluctantly and walked out the guild. My eyes were cast downward as I walked, watching my feet with each step. As I walked, people parted like the red sea.
I usually glare menacingly and laugh at the reactions I get, but not today. I needed to go somewhere quiet. My head started to throb, and I could swear that I could hear natsu laughing. But I'm not weak, so no tears. Ever.
I approached a small river that Juvia had shown me so I headed up stream, towards the water fall. I occasionally glanced over my shoulder to make sure I wasn't getting followed.
Approaching the waterfall I stripped down to my boxers and sat on a rock under the waterfall. It fell heavily on my head, forcing my eyes closed. The sound of water smacking onto skin erased all my thoughts and I breathed deeply.
Time to forget.
Levy's POV~
I walked with Lucy, holding about ten thick books in my arms, stumbling slightly.
"Let's get you home before you trip" lucy teased as we entered Magnolia.
"Hey, it's not that much"I smiled as people began rushing past me, accidentally knocking me over. I fell on my back, the books spilling from my arms and unto the sidewalk.
Lucy cried out in frustration as she picked up the books and looked around.
"What was that about?" I sat up and rub my head. Lucy looked around and handed me the books.
"Natsu was leading them, so I'll go follow them okay? Go home" she smiled at started running after them. I stood up and continued to awkwardly carry the books back to my apartment.
After about ten minutes of struggling, I unlocked the door and stepped inside to my home, setting the new books down on the counter.
I walked to my sofa and sat down and checked the messages on my phone, only one. From Gajeel.
I clicked on it and it read 'I'm at the place' sighing I stood up and walked back outside.
He only went there when he had stuff on his mind, but he just seems more upset than usual.
Ignoring the dark threatening clouds from above, I made my way to the river, spotting a dark figure in the water, facing away.
"Gajeel? What happened?" I approached him, trying to get a look at his face.
"I...igneels back" he murmered, his voice sounded watery.
"He is? That's good" I smiled at took off my socks and shoes and sat at the edge of the river, sticking my feet in the water.
"Metalicana isn't back..." he barely whispered and I looked at him, even though he was careful not to let me see his face.
"Gajeel what's wrong, look at me" I slid in the river and waded over to him.
His nose was pink and his eyes were puffy. He had been crying, and he still was.
This is probably the first time he's ever cried, I thought pulling him in for a hug. He just seemed so vulnerable as he wrapped his arms around my small waist and cried into my shoulder.
"I'm here gajeel" I reassured him, stroking his hair.
"How come he isn't back" he whispered as tears continued to spill down his cheeks and I racked my brain for an excuse.
"Maybe he doesn't know where you are"I blushed, realizing that he was half naked.
His arms pulled me closer, so my head was on his chest and he was now hiding his face on the top of my head.
"I'm sorry shrimp" he murmured, and I blushed and hugged him.
"For what?" I smiled.
"Making you come out here" he wipes his eyes with the palm of his hand and picked me up out of the water and onto the grass.
"No, you shouldn't be alone right now so I'm staying with you" I crossed my arms, and sat firmly on the ground. He sighed and hopped out the river, the water making his boxers stick to him, not leaving nuch to the imagination. Making me turn red.
"C'mon shrimp" he picked up his clothes with one hand, and me with the other.
"Gajeel!" I blushed "put me down, I don't wanna go home"
"Your going home" he smirked softly as he carried me and I sighed.
"I should be with you dork, your sad." I looked at him and he smiled.
"Who said I was gonna leave your place?"
I blushed as he set me down and pulled on his shorts. He pulled up his hair, after wringing most of the water out and every piece of evidence that pointed out his earlier crying was erased.
He was the strong and independent gajeel that I know.
