As we sat on the couch after playing the beer pong game, I couldn't help but notice Miles, who was sitting beside me. His cheek was flushed with a tint of red, and I could tell from his hazel eyes that he was already feeling the effects of alcohol. The party had been raging on for a while now, and as the night progressed, inhibitions began to fade away.

I tapped Klaus, who was also sitting next to me, to get his attention. He then looked at me, his deep blue eyes reflecting curiosity. "I need to take Miles somewhere to sober him up; he looks drunk," I said, my voice laced with concern.

Klaus nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. He leaned closer, his voice barely a whisper as he responded, "Okay, but just don't do anything dirty."

I couldn't help but chuckle at his playful remark and ruffle his hair. "Oh, Klaus, you always know how to lighten my mood, but we're not ready for that yet," I said with a grateful smile.

Miles and I both stood up, slightly swaying from the effects of the night's festivities. The air was thick with laughter and the sound of loud music, but Miles struggled to maintain his balance. In his semi-intoxicated state, he stumbled forward, his movements unsteady.

Reacting quickly, I reached out and caught Miles by his shoulder, anchoring him and preventing him from falling. His grateful eyes met mine, the hazel glimmers reflecting his vulnerability. We exchanged a knowing smile, an unspoken agreement passing between us. It was time to find a quieter space away from the chaos and noise of the party upstairs.

As the group moved on to play the next game, "Never Have I Ever," I guided Miles toward the staircase. We tried to blend in with the crowd, swiftly but discreetly making our way downstairs, away from prying eyes. The dimly lit corridor prompted Miles to stumble again, his unsteady gait reminding me of a newborn foal finding its footing for the first time.

I held him close, feeling the warmth radiating from his body. His arm draped over my shoulder as I lent him the support he needed. Step by step, we maneuvered through the maze-like hallways until we reached the haven of my room.

Closing the door behind us, we sank onto the plush carpeted floor, our laughter mingling with the distant hum of the party above. The room, dimly lit by a table lamp in the corner, created an intimate sanctuary away from the chaos. As our laughter subsided, we found ourselves staring into each other's eyes.
