"Why'd you let her get away!?" A man angrily yelled.
Y/N clenched her fists, causing more crimson blood to gush out from her wound. "I'm sorry-"
The said man slammed his hands on the wooden table, "No, Y/N! Sorry won't fix anything! You had your chances and you managed to fuck it up!? What do you think we're doing here? Playing house and pretend?"
"I'll try better next time, Papa-"
Y/N's father cut her off for the second time, making sure to emphasize every word, "And you better keep your word now, kid. 'Cause if you mess it up once more, I will make sure you can't ever step foot in this place until the day you die! You're my daughter, now act like it!"
Just then, a woman's terrified voice joined in on the conversation. It was Y/N's mother.
"Mihai!¹ Stop yelling at your own daughter! Can't you see this? She's bleeding left and right!"
"Oh, stay out of this, Elena!² If only your daughter wasn't such a mindless hunter, she could've ended that..." He scrunched his nose as he thought of a name to call the royal, "monster of a princess. Hell, I don't even think she's worth that hunter title."
Elena yelled, "She's your child too, Mihai! Have some consideration will you? Can't you see she's trying her best!"
That phrase lit the fuse in him.
Mihai took the nearest glass and threw it towards his wife who was busy treating their daughter's wounds.
Y/N took notice of this as she grabbed her dagger and threw it towards the projectile. Hitting the wall and shattering the item in the process.
Though her father meant for it to hit the woman, he was quite impressed with how fast she reacted to the throw. Scoffing with a mocking smile, Mihai rested his hands on the table.
"Keep that up, child. One day you'll understand just how important this family is to the world."

"But, Your Majesty, isn't it a bit too reckless for you to make decisions this early? I mean, the princess just-"
"I have to do what I have to as a King and a father, Berthold.³ Securing the relations between them is a priority and a must."
"I understand, Your Majesty. But as far as I reckon, you have travelled to the Great Temple. Is there really a need to do this?"
King Stefan grew silent as he pondered about the statement. He placed down his wineglass, signalling the servant to add more liquor.
"Don't worry, I have other reasons for it. And I assure you they're not going to disappoint anyone who's on my side."
Suddenly, Sana walked in along with another servant trailing behind, causing everyone in the room to avert their gazes toward her direction.
"Father, you've called for me?"
The King finished his drink in one gulp as he stood up, "Ah yes, I have indeed!" He met the princess halfway as he gave her a warm and tight hug.
Stefan pulled away, still resting a hand on his daughter's shoulder. "Sir Berthold, you're dismissed. Please circle the grounds with our men once more. I want it to be checked thoroughly by this afternoon."
The latter obliged as he walked out the room, closing the huge marble doors in the process.
"What for, father?"
"Well, I've thought about your interest in the family's international and local affairs and I have made a decision. I've realized it's time for you to learn now than to be a little too late."
