Love For The Sport

Part 1- The First Day.

Today was my first day in Winnipeg! It's such a beautiful city, the people are nice too. After signing a contract an hour ago, I decided to switch my license plate to a Manitoba one and explore the city. The traffic is not the best. I had to use my GPS to get to the house of my new roommate on the road and in Winnipeg, Tyler Myers. He introduced himself to me, and he was rather nice, after that we played some video games and hang out. I had brought my old Canucks helmet, jerseys and gloves with me as a memory. Once I was done setting up my room and bed, it didn't look half bad. Tyler then took me around the city to get some more new gear, since I was now with the Jets. I was psyched for my first game in front of the loyal fans of Winnipeg!

Well, that's a wrap! First game in Winnipeg was a success! I ended up getting a goal! And it was a great pass from my best bud, Tyler. I'm so happy to have a new start in a new city with new teammates and friends! But for some reason, I was still bummed out. My teammate, Jiri Tlusty, walked up to me, "Why the long face, bud? We just won!" He said. "My girlfriend dumped me yesterday before I left Vancouver. She said she didn't want to move." I replied. "Oh. Well that sucks. But hey, look on the bright side, it gives you an opportunity to meet other girls, right?" Jiri asked me. I just nodded my head. I headed to my car and left to go home and have dinner with Tyler.
