"Are we there yettt?" My 9 year old sister complained. "Luna, be quiet already! Sheesh!" My 10 year old brother, Quinn, groaned. "Maeve!" Quinn turned to me. I rolled my eyes, grabbing my phone and playing some music with my earplugs in.

"Maa! Maeve's ignoring me again!!" Quinn shouted to my mother. She turned around to face me and gave me a blank stare. "Maeve! Quit ignoring your brother, won't you?" I leaned against the window, sighing softly.

"And don't give that attitude like you always do." She included. I was clearly annoyed, but of course I'm not gonna show it. "Haha!" My brother laughed. "Ma!" I yelled. All she did was give him this look then turned back around. I saw her whispering something to my dad who was driving.

I then felt a wet and cold nose touch my face. I swatted it away before turning to the trunk where the family pet, Marley, sat. She was a 6 year old golden retriever who was also my best friend. I named her Marley cause it was kinda close to my name.

I give her a nice squeeze and kisses before turning back around. Luna then decided it was okay to jump into the back with Marley. "What the heck Luna!" I yell while Marley happily licked Luna's face.

My mom yelled at Luna to get back into her seat. I rolled my eyes, trying to ignore this stupid nonsense. I continue staring out of the window, just enjoying nature itself for the rest of the ride...

"Ta-daaaaa!~" My father said, doing the little 'jazz hands' thing. I rolled my eyes at him, observing the house. It looked old and rusty like it hadn't been cleaned in a longggg time. My face started to twist around as I stared longer at the house. "Dad...this house is...hideous..." I turn to him.

My parents both stared at me in shock. "Now, Maeve. Don't be like that. It's not gonna be some kind of 'Barbie Dreamhouse.' Plus, we're gonna have it renovated anyways!" My mother smiled.

"Well, it needs to be done now! I can't be seen living in this when my friends come over!" I complained. My father gave me that look...I sighed, walking back to the car to grab the bags.

After all of the luggage was finally in the house, my parents recommended that I and my siblings should choose out our rooms. I rushed upstairs knowing that these two would try to choose the best room out of the whole house. They weren't far behind me at all. Marley decided to tag along, thinking it was play.

I rush into a room, examining it carefully and slowly. Now, I usually love bigg rooms even thought I'm just one girl. But, hey! Marley's my girl and she stays with me so it has to be big enough for the both of us!

This room was a small, but simple room. Honestly to me, it was perfect for me. My siblings entered the room not too long after. "I call this room!" I quickly said as they looked around. "You're joking...this room is small! You usually love big rooms!" My sister, Luna, said. "Exactly!" Quinn agreed.

"I know that! But this room to me is...different..." I say, looking around one more time. Luna and Quinn just sat quiet before Quinn said, "It's all yours...this room gives me the eeps..." Luna nodded her head and added, "Yeah! It gives me the chills! Are you planning on becoming a witch or something?"

I glared at Luna. "What?! No!" I said. "Whatever." Luna rolled her eyes and walked out. Quinn followed behind her. I smile to myself as I'm glad I didn't have to fight for this room. I continued to look around until I heard Marley whining while standing outside of my room. It seemed as if she refused to enter.

"What's wrong girly?" I softly ask, slowly approaching her. "C'mon!" I pat my legs softly to get her to come into the room. "Its all ours! And best part is we didn't have to fight for it so there's gonna be no arguing over it later in the future!" I smile.
