Donnie, sat in his lab working as usual tears staines the table as he felt his heart snap into two after a harsh rejection from his crush April

He knocked over his; bottle of mutagen, Donnie quickly grabbed the canister before it rolled away and spilled "Damnit.." Donnie swore under his breath

He scooped up the canister and slammed it onto the table

"D'?"

A familiar voice called, Donnie looked at the door and his supposed enemy Casey Jones stood in the doorway angling his hockey stick at Donnie's heart hoping he wouldn't noticed and did a small victory dance when he hit it directly

"Don't think I didn't see that Jones"

"Oops sorry Don"

"Yeah right.."

Donnie looked away and tried to shield the tears from his eyes but Casey caught onto it "What's wrong Donnie?" He asked walking up to Donnie and placed a hand on his shoulder but Donnie pushed it away

"I'm fine Casey"

He said pushing his chair back to the drawer where it had a empty beaker

He watched in strained silence as Donnie worked about, with visible tears falling down his face "April huh?" Casey asked suddenly watching Donnie tense up almost dropping the breaker filled with mutagen

"April..?" His eyes brimmed with tears as he wiped them quickly to avoid talking he just chuckled "Nope just stress" he said pouring retro-mutagen into a beaker of regular mutagen

"Don..I pretty much know you like a book now"

"Just drop it Jones"

"I'm your friend Donnie I get that April isnt-"

"THIS ISNT ABOUT APRIL!"

With swift movements he shattered the breaker and mutagen spilled everywhere, Donnie franticly searched the lab for the broom which brought everyone's attention

"Donnie is everything okay?"

His brother Leo asked running in first after Mikey and Raph, Splinter and April were the last ones to arrive "I'm fine just dropped some mutagen on the floor" Donnie replied then grabbed the mop and started to mop the mess

"I sense there is something wrong Donatello" Splinter said looking at his son "Nothing's wrong Sensei I'm fine" The mutant sighed desperate

"Can you all just get out? It was just something dropping" He said gripping the broom with force

"You sure do-"

"GET OUT!"

at this rate he'd grabbed his bo staff and was ready to swing at the next person who asked him if he were sure or okay "Sorry Leon.." Donnie apologized, releasing his weapon and slumped down into his chair completely breaking down

Sobs filled the lab as his concerned brothers and Splinter went to comfort his brother Leo shot a glare at April who looked away

"It'll be okay Don" Mikey said hugging Donnie who stood up weakly after Mikey offered to play a board game with Raph, Chompy and Ice cream kitty

Leo was helping Casey clean up "You know you should really tell Donnie how you feel Case it'll make him feel better you know" The older spoke as he wiped down the desk

"..." No words were exchanged between him and Casey after that but Casey nodded simply

"I roll a FOUR!" Donnie yelled excitedly, as he rolled a double four and moved his playing piece and was now in front of Raph passing Mikey as well "Hey you still have to pass Ice cream kitty the real champion"

Mikey said holding up the Cat in a bowl and shook it gently "I know and I will just as I-" Donnie was interrupted by Casey "Hey Leon said I should talk to you" He said scratching his neck

"After I finish!" Donnie whined suddenly feeling better as Ice Cream Kitty rolled and with Raph complaining that Ice Cream Kitty continued to make the dice sticky

The cat rolled a seven and meowed as Raph and Donnie groaned in dispair "How are we being beaten by a cat?" Raph asked as he completely forgotten about Chompy who was playing as well

"Sorry Little C" He petted his tiny turtle and smiled gently

"Now Raph it's your turn" Mikey said as Raph snatched up the dice and rolled rolling a nine "HA eat THIS Ice cream Kitty!" The red said taunting as he threw Ice cream Kitty's playing piece on the side and placed his down earning a angry meow from the cat

Raph stuck his tongue out at him and, gave the dice to Donnie "Here Don roll" Donnie wasted no time with rolling, while the group was playing their little game Casey couldn't help but stare at April in a hurtful way

She caught him staring but unlike moving like a normal person would he gave her a icy cold glare

"I have bets that Raph's gonna win" Leo came over with a box of Pizza for him and everyone else

"Why Raph?"

"Because he threw everyone else's playing pieces off the board including Ice cream Kitty's"

"Hey Leon? Do you think Raph would allow me to date Donnie?"

"If you wanna keep your life then no"

Casey frowned "Come on Leon have some faith in me"

"I do buttt it's Raph your life will be gone faster than you can blink"

Casey rolled his eyes at Leo and focused his stare at Donnie who was smiling now showing his ridiculously adorable gap smile

Casey felt, his smile get bigger as he enjoyed Donnie being his silly annoying self again rather than sitting in his lab alone crying how God knows how long

"Hey guys I'm gonna go do some cleaning again in the lab" Donnie then said as it got Casey's attention, "You do that since you lost Dontron" Mikey yelled out "Dontron?" Raph repeated "A Nickname I came up with" "Just continue to make mutants" Raph rolled his eyes

After Donnie left in a good mood before he was, he flicked the lights in the lab on as they shown brightly and looked around he grabbed the broom and began humming as he started sweeping not realizing Casey walked into the room

"Jesus Casey you scared me" Donnie said jumping slightly, "Sorry not Sorry Don" He said walking into the lab "So whatcha doin?" Jones asked rather interested

"Uh cleaning?"

Donnie looked up from the broom and stared at Casey who began to pace around the room nervous "Is there something you wanna talk about?" Donnie said sitting the broom down and walked up to Casey

"Er yes and no? Yes I mean yes" Casey said quickly shaking his head Donnie raised an eyebrow "Well?"

"I like you Donnie!"

....

Silence, filled the room as Donnie stood there Casey's heart thumping in his chest was the only known noise in the room

Before Donnie strainly asked; "Er..as in?"

"Yes more than friends" 

"...."

"You don't have to say anything back Donnie..Just thought you should know.."

4 was interrupted when he felt Donnie's hand press against his cheek as he pecked it before pressing his lips against Casey's 

"Just stop talking already" He teased and, started sweeping the floor smiling to himself and humming

Casey walked out with a smirk and smiled at Leon who walked by "How's my twin?" He asked, "He's gonna be just fine" The Male said with a stupid grin on his face
