Awakening

Death that's all I see around me, a white sky with dark patches of leaves and white fragile feathers falling out of the sky. Laying lifeless and cold, frozen, unable to stand.

I feel the gentle, fragile snow falling down onto my cold pale face it hurts at times it kind of burns but most of the time it feels like feathers but cold and made of ice. I close my eyes and take a deep breath, I feel the steam sift slowly out of my cold lifeless body, it feels nice and warm as it descends back onto my frozen face. I close my eyes, I hear the wind flowing through my body like a ghost in the air.

Huff I hear as I open my eyes to see a large white stallion from a small distance away, I stare into his black beautiful eyes as they look back at me in a calm manner I don't see any fear in him at all he looks as though he has survived many wars and was unable to be frightened. I close my eyes again hoping he will go away, hoping that he won't interact with me but I was wrong, a couple of minutes later I hear him coming closer and closer through the thick cold snow I didn't particularly like horses, ever since I was little I was always afraid of them when my brother broke his leg by being trampled by one.

Once the noise of trotting stopped I felt his warm long head brush against my dark blue dress, I opened my eyes as he did it again I believe it was signalling me to ride on him. I felt my life coming slowly back into my body as I hauled my self up onto the valiant, strong stallion, I felt strange for the horse still had a saddle and reins I wonder who the owner was or if he even had a owner, many minutes later I feel my lifeless body drifting to sleep.

As I wake I open my eyes to see the stallion and I still in the dark depths of the dense oak forest, I look up at the sky and try to see where the sun was but there where far to many leaves to even see the smallest amount of the sky. I stop, the tired stallion and decide to stretch out my swollen sore legs and allow the horse to have a rest, as balance my aching body of the horse and place my cold feet on the solid ground.

I feel like my legs and feet have shattered into thousand pieces. I tie the horse onto a tree and he bends down and eats the crisp soft grass poking out of the thin layer of snow, I sit on the cold snow under a tree near by and close my eyes, I feel the gentle breeze of the wind flowing through my long black raven hair.

I hear the leaves rustling on the top of the tall thick trees and the stallion bitting away on the grass, minutes later I open my eyes and decide to find where the sun was and try to figure out what time it is. It was still fairly dark, well what I could tell from the blockage of the dense leaves.

I look around to see if there were anyway to see the sun all that there was around me were thick trees I sat back down on the cold snow and thought about what I could do. Fifth teen minutes later figured out that if I climb up the tree through the dense leaves I would be able to see the light, so step by step I carefully and slowly hauled my way up the thick brown tree and onto the branches.

Once I made my way to the top of the tree I was greeted with a fresh cool breeze that flowed gently though my raven hair, compared to under the dense leave the air smelt like daisies, I look over to the direction of the sun and it was just rising making the sky orange which match and looked beautifully with the orange leaved oak trees.

While making my way back down I slipped on a branch and tumbled down the thin twig branches onto the hard cold snowy ground, I open my eyes and get on my feet quickly but as I was about to get up I felt a thumping ache in my ankle, I took my black boots off to reveal a large ripe purple bruised area on my left foot 'crap' I whisper to myself, I look around for something that I could use a bandage but there was nothing I look around again then look down at my long dark blue dress and matching corset, I grab the bottom of the skirt and rip a long strip.

I take the strip of material and wrap it around my ankle tightly and firmly. I get on my feet and limp over to the white stallion still eating the grass, I tap him twice on the back signalling him to go. I haul myself and my injured leg on to the majestic steed, after riding for half an hour Crack I start to notice that we were not riding on the soft snow but instead a thin layer of ice I start to freak out as I pull the leather reins with fear and the stallion runs swiftly and quickly to the other side of the frozen lake.
