Request- Dove
(Personal request, might not make sense to most people)

She woke up after a refreshing night of sleep. A big smile was plastered on her face as she picked up her big fluffy towel and walked towards the bathroom.

"Hey Dove!" She heard her sister call out from the kitchen. "Yes?"

"Well, just wanted to let you know I heated up the shower for you. Also, mum said she had to go early for her office so we have to manage breakfast on our own"

Rukmani let out a small sigh, knowing it had to be her who prepared the food. "Okay, go get ready for school. I'll make us something as soon as I freshen up"

This time, her sister popped out her head before answering. Rukmani could see her sister's eyes as her squeeky voice said, "Oh, no worries about that! I thought of making Maggie, but when I remembered you don't like it, I made some crepes for us. Go shower quickly! They'll be ready in no time"

The smile returned on Dove's face. She turned on Lana Del Rey (some random bollywood song, but she doesn't like to admit it) and went in to have a hot shower.

H e a v e n .

She dried up her short hair and wore her school uniform. After having a delicious breakfast with her sister, they both quickly packed up a quick lunch and went to catch their bus. The weather was cold, and they were turning more impatient each second. This damn bus is never on time.

Finally, Dove saw her bus approaching towards their direction. "Seems like the driver finally remembers that we exist" Her sister commented. They quickly boarded the bus and started looking for some free seats.

Every. Seat. Was. Filled. With. Small. Children.

They were standing in the aisle when her sister suddenly whispered in her ear. "Psst, act cool and calm. Mr. Basketball is looking at you"

Rukmani's eyes snapped towards his direction.

Yep. She did not act very calm.

Mr. Basketball saw her looking at him quickly waved. Rukmani being Rukmani, gulped. Stared at him for five seconds straight. Snapped back to reality. And then waved back.

'Goddamit.'

He had a small smile on his face. He tapped the free seat beside him, indicating her to sit next to him. Her face flushed when she saw the so direct invitation. Her first thought being "Where are his friends?" Ignoring the thought, she quitely walked and sat next to him.

"Had to wait for the bus again?"

Rukmani scoffed. "Yep. I don't know why this bus waits for every single child that's late. Like, if they wanted to come, they'll come on time. We just waste time by waiting"

A short silence took place, before he spoke "You don't like late lateefs at all, do you?"

"No, it's not that. But like, the time is fixed. Why do you make all the others late just because you want a minute more sleep? I swear to god these people"

"Ah I see. Wanna know something?"

"Yeah?"

"I was the one for whom the bus waited today"

Rukmani blinked. Her brain processed whatever said for the next few seconds. Immediately, they both started laughing.

Now, from their point of view, it was a cute moment. But if you ask me, the author, whom this entire scene depends upon, I made it seem like two mentally instable chimpanzees laughing over a piece of bread. Now, the Rukmani behind the screen, don't blame me okay? I can't help but make fun of you, especially when Mr. Basketball is involved.
