Kate couldn't understand why Dexter had to be at her door. And on top of it all,he was looking at her intently with a frown_like she had done something utterly wrong. "What's this about?" She had to ask him bluntly after their staring lasted for almost a minute.
Dexter ignored her question and just walked past her into her apartment,almost shoving her aside which made her gasp in disbelief,"Where the hell do you think you're going?",She quickly closed the door to join him in her living room.
Dexter turned to face her abruptly when he got to the middle of her living room,"Did you let that jerk in here?"
"You're the only jerk I didn't even allow in here". Kate told him sarcastically through gritted teeth.
"How could you just go out randomly with some guy and then be all cuddly in front of your house?" Dexter queried,his voice husky at the last part.
Kate scoffed,"Why does it matter to you if I went to a party with a guy and let him hug me in front of my house?" She retorted.
"You even went to a par_",Dexter suddenly raised his voice but then cut himself short and heaved out a loud breath. "Wow. You're really unbelievable,Katrina. Since when did you start going to parties?"
"Since I want to". Kate retorted. She pointed towards the door,"You can leave now".
Dexter crossed his arms,"But I just got here".
"So? Get out of my house". Kate demanded. "How could you just barge in and think you have a place in here?"
"Didn't you think I'd have a reason to come here?" Dexter coughed lightly,hoping to sound serious."I..."
"Oh look_I don't care". Kate pushed him towards the door as firmly as she could."Get out. Just get lost". She literally led him to her door and then made to open it,grabbing the doorknob.
"Alright,hold on_",Dexter quickly held her hand on the doorknob. She slipped her hand out of his when she instantly felt a familiar tingling sensation with just the touch of his hand. She glared at him as if to say how dare you touch me? She couldn't believe he hasn't lost his charms on her yet. "Gosh, you're never this pushy". He mumbled,staring more intently into her eyes. Their bodies were really close to each other, thanks to the narrow doorway.
"Seriously,what do you want from me now? You've been pestering me ever since you arrived,we're not to_",Kate tried to inquire coldly but she lost her presumed anger when Dexter took a step closer,leaving a little space between them,"_Gether anymore...",She completed in the lowest voice ever. This was really dumb,how could she be like this again in front of him.
"I really want a lot from you__ I'm just taking my time". Dexter told her in his cool low voice,Kate gulped silently__was it her or the house was getting smaller by the second? He shifted closer again and she had to lean against the wall,dropping her gaze from him.
