Dexter walked through with confidence,not minding the bodyguards that almost filled the hospital's hallway. When he got to the room he was headed,he met Don and two other bodyguards at the door__as expected.
"Young Master". The two bodyguards behind Don greeted first with a bow of their heads.
"Move out of the way",Dexter just demanded.
"But,sir__",One of the two bodyguards made to say but Don raised a hand to cut him off,still staring at Dexter blankly. Dexter also looked at him.
"Let him in". Don ordered as he stepped aside,the two bodyguards also cleared out of the way.
Dexter smirked a little,stepping closer. "You still need your ass beaten up,Donald",He whispered to his ear.
Don twitched his lips to the side a little,"But I'm very positive that it won't be done by you",He also whispered.
"Drop the bluffing",Dexter quickly whispered sharply,"You're only eight years older than me and I'm also a Black Belt. Don't try to find out what this young boy is capable of". Don smirked at Dexter's words and Dexter walked past him to open the door. He immediately saw his beautiful mother sitting on her hospital bed with a mirror in her hand.
He closed the door behind him and that's when his mother paused at checking herself out in the mirror and looked to his direction.
"Mom",Dexter smiled as he moved closer.
"Well,hello there,handsome". Mrs. Miles also smiled,allowing herself to be engulfed in a tight hug by her son. "How have you been?" She rubbed his back adoringly,"I really missed you".
"Fine,mom. And I missed you too",Dexter released her and sat on the edge of her bed. He almost laughed at the irony__having the two women that mattered to him the most in the hospital in less than a week. He looked at his mother's bandaged leg,"So_what happened?"
"I just fell from the stairs". Mrs. Miles said,like it was the most casual thing in the world.
Dexter sighed. "_Was someone there with you?"
"Of course,that's why I was rushed to the hospital very quickly". Mrs. Miles said.
Dexter became serious,"Mom. The idea of you staying alone..."
"I'm not alone,Dex. I have workers all around me". Mrs. Miles quickly said.
Dexter sighed again,feeling like no matter how much he tried,he won't be able to convince his mother. Now that he looked at her more closely,it was like she was getting younger and more beautiful by the year. Although,people said he got his good looks and features from his father,but he actually preferred his mother's beauty. She was just so angelic in all ways__and she deserved to be loved by a kind-hearted man like her.
"Do you know how happy I was when I heard you were back in town?" Mrs. Miles smiled,touching Dexter's cheek,making him smile again.
"Well,I would have came here sooner,if Don wasn't being such a brat". Dexter literally frowned at the mention of Don's name.
