Isolation

I walk into a room,
There's everyone I love.
I speak,
But does anyone hear me ?

I yell out,
I scream.
My voice is harsh,
Dry.

But no one looks.
There they all sit,
Talking and laughing
Having fun without me.

I speak.
But do you hear me?
Do my words make sense?
Do you notice that I'm here?

No responses.
Not even a eye flicker in my direction.
Am I invisible?
Could it be?

How am I any different than you?
Why am I not important?
What did I do?
When I talk, do you hear me?

Perhaps I should be alone.
Everyone likes me more when I'm not here.
Maybe I'm better off in isolation...
