Tsukishimа slid his arms and wrapped them around his neck now, pressing himself closer.
Kuroo was shaking now, because the blond boy hid his face in his neck too, and he felt the cool touch of his glasses against his skin; he was still unaware of the fact that he had been holding his waist too tight - he couldn't think about this at all right now.
- Dare. Dare me. I want you to, Senpai.
Tetsurō Kuroo could not really say whether he was surprised by those words, by this choice. It was very obvious that Tsuki wanted to keep up with him, match him, be at one level with him, but he could not really say just when exactly their contest, their game had turned into something more intimate.
He could not say what the angel's words had meant.
What dare should he choose? It had to be something nice, he didn't want to scare this beautiful light creature away, now that their bodies were so close together, now that they could feel each other's breaths.
The world fell far behind, and he couldn't think about the match any more, nor about his team, nor - about Tadashi's yelling in the corridor outside.
Kei was here, in his arms, whispering in his skin, trembling slightly. What could possibly be more important than this?
- What will make you happy? - he asked weakly, ignoring the rules of the game completely. - I want to ask of you only the thing that would make you truly happy.
Tsukishimа stirred a little, not letting go of him, though, and now stared into his face, absolutely serious.
- What is this? You want me to choose my own dare? - he mocked lightly, smirking. - I think you have lost your edge, Tetsurō-san! You have changed! Are you a coward now?! Letting a junior be your better?!
- Yes. - Kuroo whispered now, unimpressed by the cheeky words, seeing how flustered he was. - Yes, I have changed. I care for something higher now, not just about championships and school. I care about someone now, and it breaks my heart to even think that I might hurt...
Tsukishimа was listening to him carefully and his eyes were huge. Now his breath hitched: he expected the next word with all his being - heart, mind, soul.
Kuroo felt dizzy. Those amazingly beautiful eyes were asking millions of questions, and he wasn't sure he was prepared to answer all of them. He felt that if he gave out his true feelings, he would be open, vulnerable to ridicule, easy to hurt, to ruin, to destroy.
Going against his better instinct, he nevertheless murmured:
- I can't hurt him. Hurting him is far worse than hurting myself. I love him. Very much.
Tsuki felt his eyes moist, and blinked quickly, pushing his index finger underneath the rim of the glasses to wipe any traces of possible stupid tears.
Boys were not supposed to cry. Champions were not supposed to be so weak.
But in a blink of an eye, he gasped, because Kuroo's long fingers approached his face, and the boy helped him, just pushing his glasses up gently, to rest on the top of his head.
He blushed. He felt almost naked, helpless without his glasses. Now the world was blurry, but Kuroo's hands were still stable on his waist, and his breath was still so close to his face.
He looked away, extremely embarrassed and flushed, quiet.
