Abused and nightmares-chapter 1

I could smell the booze he drank before I got home as he came closer. He threw the beer bottle in his hand at me but missed. It shatterd as it hit against the wall behind me. I started crying he slapped me and my cheek started to sting.

"Dont you cry!" He yelled at me "D-dad p-please stop it your hurting me." He shoved me hard and I fell on the shatterd beer bottle. I whimperd "You are worthless Rihanna just like your slutty mother!!" He yelled at me. He shook his head and laughed with out humor in his voice, it sounded cold and empty. "Your not worth my time" he looked at me his eyes clouded with anger "clean this up or else." I nodded scared he will hit me again. He walked out of the room and I heard the front door slammed.

I cleaned the bottle up and took as much glass out of my arm as I could. I headed down the hallway to my room to put bandages on my arm. I bandaged my arm, I looked at the bandages on my legs from 3 days ago when he threw bottles and glasses at me. I changed out of my shorts and tank top into my jogging pants and sweater. I got my phone out and texted Tessa.

From: Rihanna
Hi, can i stay at yours tomorrow?

I waited for a few miniutes untill I felt my phone vibrate.

To: Rihanna
From: Tessy❤
Yeah of course babe! Did it happen again?

To: Tessy❤
From: Rihanna
Yea, he left like 20min ago...

I felt my phone vibrate and looked at it.

Call from Tessy❤

"Hey Tessy" I answered. "Get some clothes ready im coming to get you. Just turning down your street. See you in the back ally in 5 okay? Good" she hung up.

I smiled and grabbed my baby blue duffel bag and put my clothes, chargers and laptop into it. I grabbed my black backpack and Put my shoes in it. I opened my window and gently dropped my bags on the box outside my window. I turned my lights off and climbed thru my window and closed it. I grabbed my bags and ran to the fence and slid the cement block covering my secret hole to get under the fence. As you can tell I've done this many times before. I slid my bags underneath and slid underneath also then gently slid the cement block back in place. I turned around and saw Tessy pulling up in her dodge truck.

I threw my bags in the back and hopped in and we took off. "You okay babe?" She asked concern covering her face as she eyed up the bandages on my arm. I started shaking and I cryed shaking my head "I wanna leave Tessa I'm scared" I looked up at her "I know babe. Your dad leaves this weekend with his drinking buddys to go to the lake right?" I nod and she continues "Then its set your moving out this weekend into that spare bedroom" I nodded my head again but I drifted off to sleep.

(Her dream)
I stood in the living room, invisble. Just like always. Invisible to them, my parents and Joe. I understood mom had to leave but she left me also. Left me with empty promises. They yelled at each other. Dad grabbed the bat and tried to hit mom. Joe grabbed the bat and threw it, it went thru me. Dad froze, mom froze, everybody froze. They slowly turned to me. But they werent looking at me but something behind me. I heard the trigger of the gun. I froze and turned around.
(End of dream)
"Rihanna wake up its okay im here he wont hurt you" I felt Tessys hands on me. I looked around, we were in her drive way. "It felt so real tho Tessy I'm scared to sleep what if I have the nightmare again" I looked at her my lips trembled. "Then I'll wake you because I'm here for you I always will be Hanna" She reasured me using my nickname she gave me.

We entered her house and tiptoed our way upstairs to her room. When we got there we dropped my bags on the floor and headed to bed. I braided my blond hair and laid down. After a few miniutes the bed dipped and I felt Tessy give me a quick peck on my head before cuddling me. Again I drifted off to sleep but into a dreamless sleep this time.
