THE BREAK ROOM
( emily's dad dialed up rydel's mom (stormie) up and she answers )
( rydel's mom ) hello
( emily's dad ) hey stormie um can i ask you for a favor
( rydel's mom ) sure derek what's up how's emily
( emily's dad ) um she's she's good that's who im talking about in the favor um im going out of town
for a few days on a case we're working on and i dont have a sitter emily and i was wondering since
your boys are going to be gone on a trip for the weekend at least maybe she can stay with you and rydel
until i get back
( rydel's mom ) yeah sure that will be great that will give us time to hang out after all its been awhile since
the girls have stayed all night with each other so they can catch up it will be fine just drop her off here on
your way to the airport
( emily's dad ) great ill drop her off in the morning around 10:00 am ok
( rydel's mom ) that will be fine
( emily walks in as her dad hangs up with stormie )
( emily ) was that rydel's mom
( emily's dad ) yeah that was her
( emily ) well what did she say can i stay with them
( emily's dad ) uh yeah she said it would be great so we're about finished here so we'll be going home in about
30 minutes when we get home you need to pack your things your taking with you because im droping you off at rydel's
house at 10:00 in the morning ok
( emily ) yay and yes daddy i hear you loud and clear thanks daddy
( emily's dad ) your welcome baby now you better go bug reed for awhile it will be a few days before you see him
again
( emily ) ok i have another your momma joke to tell him ( grinning an evil grin while giggling )
( reed ) hey emily whats up with the evil grin
( emily ) i have a nother yo mamma joke to tell you
( reed ) ok let me hear it
( emily )ok yo mamma is so ugly when she went to the bathroom she scared the crap out of the toilet
( reed ) ( laughing ) that was a good one you better get going and pack up your stuff ok
( emily ) ok um reed can i ask you something
( reed ) yeah pretty girl whats up
( emily ) well do you think you could bring me something back with you
( reed ) yeah any thing you want
( emily ) can you please bring my daddy home safe ( emily drops her head and starts to cry ) he's all ive got left
( reed ) ( fighting back the tears) yeah baby ill try my best to bring your daddy home safe and ill also put
something else in for a treat ok pretty girl ( reed pulls emily in for a bear hug )
( emily's dad ) emily its time to go home baby im going to the car ok
( emily ) ok daddy im on my way
( emily reachs her head up to reed's and leaned in as they gave each other a butterfly kiss )
( reed ) you better get going you have to get up early in the morning ( still fighting back the tears )
( emily ) ok thanks um be careful
( reed ) i will i will see you when we get back
( emily ) ok bye
