Stevens Pov:

I sighed as I woke up. It was going to be a long day... I frowned and went to my bathroom staggering. Garnet was on the couch and smiling at me. I ignored her playing it off as sleepiness. I brushed my teeth and debated on going inot the shower. If i did I woulnt have to tonight, but if I did I could be a little late to Little Homeschool. I shrugged and got undressed before putting myself under the boiling water. I hissed as the burning water slid down my back. I just felt so tired these days. I frowned more and was easier to irritate. Then something caught my attention. It was a mark of a flower. A rose. It was just below my scar on my wrist.

See you found my mark.

I shook my head and sighed heavily but started washing my hair. I was planning on proposing to Connie tommorow but I was doubting myself. I finally stepped out of the shower and dried myself off. Then I accidently looked down. My collarbone was defined, I had a small outline of abs, and I had a solid 9 inch, but so many scars. I winced and looked up. I quickly got dressed and sprinted to Little Homeschool. I oversaw schedules and made sure everyone who wanted to eat had food.

At the end of the day I was exhausted and called Connie to see how she was.

Ring

'Wh-what Ste-Steven' She breathed on the other side. She was huffing and panting like she had just ran miles.

'I was gonna ask how your day was but you seem busy..' I frowned. Connie hated running. But she loved something else with the same effect. Something I hardly ever wanted to do.

'Of course i-im busy! Ugh- Steven do-dont talk to me until  ton-tonight' She snapped breathing harshly before hanging up. But I heard one more sound as the connection cut. A moan. I glared at my phone. Suddenly I saw my hand was pink again.

LET ME OUT

I tried to calm down. It kinda worked but I still had a pink glow. I walked home miserable and plopped on my bed. I ignored the knocking at my door and pretended to sleep when Pearl came in.

'Steven dinners ready- oh... must have been a rough day.' She mumbled before leaving.

I slowed my breath as the voice whispered nothings. I suddenly felt a sharp pain shoot through my head and my gem. I got super dizzy before I saw flashes of white and cried out. I felt my gem seperate. I whimpered as I laid on the bed. My eyes opened. My head throbbing.

It was a man. Slightly taller than me and more buff. But he looked like me. And he was...

Pink. And emotionless. He stared at me. He had something in his hand but I looked at my gem. It was half. I froze. My gem was literally cut in half. I stared at the man. Then I registered the flowers in his hand. They were Roses. He had the other half of my gem but then both our gems turned and twisted into an upside down half diamond. You wouldn't be able to tell half was missing. I wondered how i was gonna explain that later at the beach. I flinched. The beach! I was supposed to be getting ready. But as I looked up at the man just 2 steps away I realized I couldnt leave.
