4. Impatient Patient

"Can you open your mouth a bit more for me please?"

Jungkook had to swallow the urge to kick the overly handsome doctor in the shins as he sat on the examination bed in the hospital. He did what the doctor said as the doctor proceeded to shine his penlight inside his mouth. Shortly after the miracle at the funeral home, Taehyung had insisted that his sister needed to get checked out by a doctor. Taehyung had driven them over in his car and had played the role of the dutiful brother until duty had called. Now Jungkook found himself in an examination room with a doctor that looked like he thought he was the hottest man to walk the face of the earth. 

"You can shut your mouth now," said the doctor as he replaced his penlight in his breast pocket. "I just need to check out a few more things."

Jungkook never liked doctors, but for whatever reason the hatred was amplified more in a woman's body. He watched the doctor as he made Jungkook lay back so he could examine him more closely.

'Examine me any closer and my foot will examine your crown jewels,' thought Jungkook.

It was then that the door to the room opened, and Taehyung slipped back into the room. He gave Jungkook a small smile before taking a seat in a chair beside the examination table.

"Sorry to up and leave you like that," said Taehyung. "I just couldn't hold it anymore."

'You're lucky you returned. You saved this man's manhood,' thought Jungkook as the doctor turned to give Taehyung a polite smile.

"You're absolutely fine. Your sister though looks perfectly healthy."

Jungkook moved to sit up on the examination table without being told to, watching as the doctor moved to grab up a clipboard to write something down. Thankfully Taehyung had had enough brains to not tell the doctor that he had just arisen from the dead.

"I would still like to see her for a follow-up in about a week to ensure that she is actually fine considering you were worried enough to bring her here in the first place.  Of course - if there are any health concerns in the meantime - please feel free to call or bring her back in."

"Of course," said Taehyung.

'I want to get out of this icky doctor's office,' thought Jungkook, catching the glimpse shot at him by the doctor over the top of the clipboard.

"Excuse me, would you both? Now it's my time to go to the bathroom."

Taehyung immediately moved to stand up from his seat, obviously planning to escort him to the bathroom. Jungkook held up a hand as he sat up and got up from the examination table.

"I'm fine. I'll be right back."

Taehyung watched him warily, but he chose to ignore it. Slipping out of the door, Jungkook walked down the hall. He turned to look behind him every once in a while to make sure that he wasn't being followed. When he rounded the corner and was satisfied that he wasn't, he began to aimlessly wander whilst trying to wrap his mind around his new reality. He had no idea what he was going to do or what the actual heck was going on. As he continued to wander, he found himself entering a different wing of the hospital. Deciding to pause in his wandering for a moment, he looked up to see a doctor a little ways in front of him that looked familiar. It was just as the doctor moved away from the desk he was standing in front of to start his rounds that Jungkook realized exactly why he did. Before he had completely passed out when he had first arrived at the hospital after being shot, this was one of the doctors that had attended to him. Could it be possible that he was at the same hospital where his body was?

"Excuse me!" said Jungkook as he ran off down the hallway after the doctor.

He still had the stupid heels on his feet; Taehyung making him put them back on before they left the funeral home. Fearful of breaking his ankles, he hopped on one foot to quickly tug off a heel before doing the same to the opposite foot. Holding the heels in one hand, he ran down the hallway after the doctor. The doctor was just within feet of him when a nurse came rushing over to his side.
