🔶🔸Zambia's POV 🔸🔶
I scour the jet blue website, praying for a ticket that leaves this country between now and early tomorrow.
Tish's words plague my mind, not leaving. I rub my hands across my wet cheeks wiping away the endless amount of tears.
My tears become more when I notice that there are only two flights available with seats and I would have to take the second one.
The first one leaves in 20 minutes and there is no way I would be able to make it.
I book the other and cry even more when a pop-up informs me that the booking isn't concrete. Meaning that I could lose the seat anytime between now and tomorrow.
I run my hands over my face, my eyes are burning and my head is aching.
My heart even feels worse.
Tish words resurface and my breathing quickens. I hold onto the table firmly as I shake my head.
I let out a scream to ease the frustration I am feeling.
It caah guh suh, we caah end like this.
We haven't gotten the time to talk through over differences to each get our own closure.
A text message comes in from Brook and another from Tish asking me how I am.
I power off the phone and stand. My headache gets worse and I feel as if my world is caving in.
Everything is spinning and is distant.
I stagger into the bathroom, putting all my weight against the counter and washing my face.
The water does nothing and I groan, mi caah manage.
I slowly walk back into the room and lay on the bed. I tuck myself into the bed and close my eyes. Sleep a hundred miles away.
Memories of us together reemerge and the tears fall harder.
♦️ Bulla's POV ♦️
11:13 pmI busy myself with his businesses as much as mi heart a pain mi, mi caah leff him things dem all over the place.
I finalize some of his workings and step out of his office closing his office door.
His workers had a damp mood and there is a cloud of sadness in the room. I am doing my best to make sure that his business stays afloat.
I get into my van and start it pulling off. I need to have an urgent meeting with the gang to get some things together.
It's obvious that this attack towards us is strategic and has been happening without fault.
I rub my eyes trying to rub away the need to sleep. My phone rings and I sigh, honestly nuh inna the mood fi even chat tuh this yah person yah.
I press the power button silencing the phone and accelerating down the road.
The phone rings again and I hiss answering it with the button on my steering wheel without looking at the caller ID.
