Narrator P.O.V

"Great job on the recovery team, wish I could have been there to see it through myself." Holland Bren states, with a tiny bit of trapped sadness in his voice. Like Cayde-6 before him, he hated being caged in the Tower, Hunters like to be free and wander the ruins of humanity more than almost any Guardian, him being assigned as the Hunter Vanguard at the Tower is like putting an eagle in a box while the others went soaring around just outside of it.

"Indeed, and a rescue on top of it, we had no doubt in your abilities, Guardians." Commander Zavala states with pride, he nods towards Matthias and Alexander, two of the most revered Titans of their time, possibly to have ever existed, easily comparable to that of Saint-14 and Kabr. Red, the Praxic Ghost, drifts in front of the proud Guardians, and soon breaks the praise the fire team was receiving, he knew of the importance that he held.

"Ikora Rey, you were revived well before the Praxic fell, correct?" Red asks, seeking her possible ulterior motive, his shell, re-adjusting in anxiety.

"Yes, that would be correct." She states, standing up straight, waiting for more questions from the Ghost.

"Then you know of me, and what has happened to my Guardian." Red replies, the room is dead silent, all except for Matthias's foot tapping.

Ikora nods in response. "The Vanguard is well aware of what who you are, Red, and who your Guardian was." She says with decisiveness, hoping that Red would get to his point.

"So why did you send this team out for me, after all these years I had been gone?" Another question to Ikora, hints of hostility wavering within his voice.

"So you can locate your Guardians Son." Zavala states bluntly. Red had gone silent.

"How did you know about his son?" He asks as he hovers closer to the Vanguard, confusion and anger drifting in his voice.

Holland replies shortly thereafter. "We've recently found old scripture from the Praxic Order, you and your Guardian where both mentioned in some of their later writing, along with some of your, abilities..." Ikora then stepped in.

"It would be interesting to see a Ghost have a second Guardian, after all, you're the only one who possibly could." She says with a smile, looks of confusion flash throughout the fire teams faces, Alexander speaks up first.

"What the hell are you on about, second Guardian? I thought each Ghost can only bring back one?!?" Alex says with supreme confusion.

"That is what records say, that each Ghost can bring back only their Guardian, and none else." Christian states statistically, Dante became interested in this conversation quite quickly, stepping forwards in anticipation.

"That would be correct in almost any case, any case but this." Holland says and points at Red, he then continues.

"That little guy is the one and only Ghost to possibly be able to pair to more than one Guardian, it's kind of difficult to explain, so I'll make it short and give you a report with proper details later... Seem fair?" He says quizzically, Dante nods wanting to learn more about this one of a kind Ghost.

The four legendary Guardians stood there, interested to hear the story, I smile and sit back on the planning table.

"Alright, the story's like this..."

"Way back when the Traveler fell, it made the Ghosts, you know the old tale The Speaker tells over and over again, right? Well there was a Ghost that was different from all the rest, one who many thought was the 'evil darkness that some how intruded The Traveler!' And that it was 'tainted' light, well that Ghost was Red." I then point at The Ghost, the little guy doesn't seem to be entertained by my storytelling, but I digress.

"This Ghost, many years after it was forged from light, became the companion of a Warlock, who later became a very high ranking official of The Praxic order. That man's name was Thomas Derasseh, what ethnicity that originates from is beyond me, but I do know that he took it upon himself to study Red eventually, and found that he was much more than just a weird looking Ghost, but also the light was more, focused inside of it in some way, like the Traveler chose it to be, more powerful than the rest, like a chosen one of sorts, or perhaps, it may be the Traveler itself..." I trail off, Matthias had a hand knotted in his brown hair in disbelief and a look of awe on his face, the rest of the team just seemed skeptical. I laugh and say.

"Just screwin with ya! The Traveler isn't disguised as a Ghost! don't worry." Dante didn't appear satisfied with the story, or my jest.

These guys are real hardasses, I thought.

"Everyone already knew of this Ghost but didn't understand why it was different, or if it's difference went beyond its strange appearance, And as it turns out, it did. Some of the the things that Derasseh discovered was that Ghost was truly more strongly linked to the Traveler in every way, giving itself and it's Guardian advantages in tactics, being able to sense and predict the darkness's minions movement precisely in any situation, and to channel the light from itself to its Guardian to enhance his abilities and powers. But there was one thing that was not yet proven, but was yet theorized by Derasseh, the could perhaps Ghost can bring back a second Guardian, is it was from the same immediate bloodline as the first." I finished, letting them absorb it all for a second, Dante was amazed by this, almost any Warlock would be anyways, Egan didn't seem to quite get it, and while Alex fell asleep. And Christian, well I couldn't tell what he was thinking, can't see anything behind the helmet either than that red glow.

"You guys are quite the crowd..." I mumble, talking to these guys is kind of like stealing food from an Ahamkara.

Zavala then cuts in. "This is where your next assignment comes in." Alexander wakes up jerkily and stands up straight in attention, the rest of them also stand in wait for their new orders. The Ghost, Red seemed a tad anxious about what these orders could be, I look off to the Titan Vanguard to listen to what he has to say as well.

"You are to assist Red in locating the son of Derasseh, and upon finding him, Find out if he really can bring back a second Guardian." Zavala orders.

Christian then asks. "And if Red can bring him back, what are we to do with the new Guardian?"

Ikora smiles and says. "Then he is under your care, but report any anomalies if any at all. Furthermore, how he acts in combat and any particular skills he may possess. Just to see if he's anything like his father."

Christian then states. "I don't see how that would be relevant at all." The cyborg twinge was stronger than it was before, it's really weird how it fluctuates between human-ish to full blown machine from time to time, I realize that Ikora has said too much and quickly throw in my two cents.

"Well, uh, He would be the first Guardian to be revived by a Ghost who had been his father's before him, if they share similarities it may be because of Red." I say hastily, a false smile crosses my face, Christian nods and backs off.

"That is all Guardians, you are dismissed." Zavala pardons them from the room. The Titans salute, meanwhile Christian just turns, same with Dante, I think those two know that we weren't telling them the whole truth, true skeptics. I stare at the floor blankly as they leave, while behind me I hear the other two getting back to their usual work, as if their minds don't wander on The fire teams assignment. I really wish I could tell those Guardians the importance of their assignment, and the real reason behind their task...
