V - A Friend or a Foe?

Third Person's POV

At the tea party

"Thanks for the tea Duchess Roxana, i really like spending time with you. I unfortunately must go now. Thanks Duchess Medea, Leilin, Empress Penelope." Jennette bowed gently as she bid her goodbye but before she could say anything Duchess Roxana talked

"Hm, why don't you let Jeremy accompany you? I mean it's quite dangerous out there." Duchess Roxana smiled as she is already notified from what had happened.

"I agree with Miss Roxana, i think you really should." Penelope smiled while sipping her tea

"Well.. i don't want to bother anymore further.. but it's fine! I-i brought Cess and Vin with me." Jennette politely refused as she didn't want to be a burden or a another thing to be in mind of Roxana

"I insist Lady Jennette." Roxana smiled as she held Jennette's hand.

"I-"

"Pardon your highness! But the carriage of ms. Jennette has gone missing! There is no traces nor tracks" the guard said

"See? I really think she should go escorted." Penelope giggled

"B-but"

"Shush, it's not so appealing to decline a request from a royal isn't? It was well thought on etiquette not to argue." Duchess Roxana smiled at Jennette

Jennette words fell short as she didn't have a choice but to nod and accept it.

Athanasia's POV

"Luu? Do you think Jennette would be okay? I mean it's quite been a while after she came back here. And Ijekiel isn't here anymore after-"

"Sia, first don't mention that white dog's name. I'm jealous. Second I'm sure that chimera- i mean Jennette would be fine. Now worries. Now can you stop working for a bit and give me attention?" Lucas stared at me as my ears turned red and my face turned pink

"Lucas! Hayst! You can't really be serious aren't you? I can't put these aside, they need to be filled quickly for the sake of the empire." I replied explaining even if i wanted to stop being busy I can't

"..this empire doesn't deserve you. Hmph" Lucas murmured to himself and i couldn't help but to let out a giggle

"Just help me with these will you? My handsome Husband!!" I said laughing

"Right.. you really do know how to get me.. God i hate Royals. Except you though, and your dad is fine too." Lucas helped me with the files and we finished fastly after.

After some time

''Pardon me your highness, the previous Emperor Claude is waiting for you at the Emerald Palace. Requesting for a audience with her majesty." The guard informed me as i turned to Lucas to make him continue my work

"Alright I'll be there." I replied and got ready to meet Dad.

"Athanasia." Dad called when i entered the room

"Papa, hello how are you?" I sat down at the opposite side of the sofa

"Hn. I'm doing well. How about you?" Dad asked me back

"Well I'm doing well too.. but may i ask? What's with the sudden visit Papa? I mean you don't usually visit me-"

"I just missed you. And i had this dream, your mom appeared on my dreams and told me something." Dad sipped on his favorite Lippe tea

"..mom? H-how was she? What did she tell you papa?" I asked while patiently waiting for Dad's response.

"Diana told me that you must be careful. Something bad is about to go your way. And a disgusting creature would potentially.. hurt Jennette and even you." Dad turned serious and worried

"W..what? Wait papa.. what does mom meant by that? Danger? Is that-"

"Just be careful Athanasia. Be aware of your surroundings and people you interact with. And that girl Jennette, she's in great danger." Dad warned me

Third Person's POV

"What the fuck?! You-" Jeremy looked at Jennette angrily

"Look, I did not ask for this either okay?! Duchess Roxana and the others insisted this." Jennette sighed

"You know that? Fine! Let me escort you so we can get this over with! I fucking hate this." Jeremy walked away by the carriage and didn't bother waiting for Jennette.

Jennette sighed and followed Jeremy towards the carriage and Jennette was a bit taken a back when Jeremy also sat in the carriage.

"What? Don't expect me to guide you from getting on the carriage shit head." Jeremy rolled his eyes as Jennette was almost out of patience with him already and just kept quiet.

This is Jennette's first time encountering such rude person in her life. No one else treated her like this. Lucas isn't this rude to her.

Soon the carriage started moving and Jennette took a book on her things and started reading till her eyes felt heavy as she fell asleep.

Jeremy noticed her falling into slumber and he couldn't help but admire her beautiful features. How her brunnette hair gracefully matched her features.

"What the hell." Jeremy said to himself

"If we're in a battle field right now she would've died already." Jeremy grinned on himself

Jeremy soon felt bored. He decided to peak at Jennette's book as she was still asleep.

"Boring." The book is about a romance.

Jeremy then sighed of boredom. He waited for the carriage to finally arrive the Sapphire palace when all of the sudden the carriage stopped after bumping into something like a big rock.

"Hn- eh? Ow.." Jennette bumped her head on the carriage

"Dumbass." Jeremy laughed then turned into the man who's driving the carriage

"Oi, what's going on?" Jeremy went outside the carriage and Jennette peeked out

"Oh sir, the wheels seemed like they got broken. I didn't see any big rocks nearby." The man explained how it is unsual

"Is there something wrong?" Jennette asked politely about the carriage

"M'lady the carriage-"

"Oh my, is there something wrong here? Need a helping hand?" A woman asked

"Who are you?!" Jeremy went ahead of Jennette as he told her to back away for a moment

"Haha~ Nice to meet you. I am Sage and you're currently at my property." The woman grinned wickedly extending her hand to Jeremy.
