Jungkook was 17 and a video gamer as he was called by most when they met. He looked like a geek with his hoodie on most of the time. His eyes were always mostly because he had them glued the whole day to a screen so adjusting to normal light always took time.
Taehyung was couple of years elder to him. Just about to turn 19. He was an amateur painter at that time.
Both were always looking for a peaceful and quiet place where they can go and do things undisturbed. And this how they met at the foot of a hill with benches placed to have a view of the lake.
On Two different benches sat 2 boys both engrossed into whatever they were doing, unacknowledged each other's presence. That was until both of them air fisted a loud YES almost at the same time and looked at each other. A small smile passed Jungkook's lips and Taehyung returned it with a huge boxy grin.
It was difficult for either of them tio remember who started walking towards the other one first, but rest of that day is clearly etched in both their minds.
"Beta Tester of video games? And it pays? And you do this18 hours?" All this information sounded Greek and Latin to Taehyung. He was just unable to make sense of what Jungkook does but he pretended nonetheless.
Jungkook was also intrigued to see some of Taehyung's artworks from his bag and other as pics. He asks how much does it pay and Taehyung starts laughing. "Who will pay me Jungkook? You are funny. There isnt any Beta painting buying in real world you know!! " Taehyung laughed but Jungkook was spell bound. The elder's voice and laugh was the best sound he had ever heard.
However, he convinced Taehyung that he can get paid and get paid Taehyung did. Few of his artworks started getting sold online after jungkook made his account on insta. He went by the sign and handle of Vante.
That evening those 2 lonely boys who felt out of place because they were called too nerdy or too artsy felt so much validation in each other's presence. Holding hands came naturally to both and the awkwardness found no space. They dont even remember how they parted with a promise of meeting the next day again same place same time.
This is where the almost perfect Love story began. Against scene of hills, views of lake, songs of birds.
Jungkook's gig of Beta Video Tester hit a jackpot when the largest Video game creation company in entire country invested in Jungkook's company and the startup was well on its way to become the next Unicorn.
Taehyung also was exhibiting now in most prestigious art galleries and doing very well for himself. He was little unhappy as he had a blurry idea of a perfect portrait. He felt the day that idea is put on campus he will feel the best about himself and his work. Its not that he isn't enjoying what was happening right now but he had a continuous nagging behind his head.
It was all hunky dory at the beginning.
Taehyung's need to speak eloquently matched perfectly with Jungkook's need to speak less. There were never to many silences which needed to be filled. And the silences which existed were very comfortable with both concentrating on what they were doing.
It all started a little before their 6th anniversary of being together. Jungkook was cooking in the kitchen and Taehyung was cleaning up the studio room in their 4 bed apartment. They had been staying together for 5 years now. Recently moved to this 4 bed large apartment with a patio et al.
One room was Taehyung's studio,
2nd was as Jungkook called it The Den(Taehyung tried making Jungkook see how inappropriate it can sound but he gave in to the request from the big doe eyes),
3rd was the guest room.
