Jungkook was devastated. Choon Hee was sitting in a chair and belly all showing big as she was in her 8th month now. And for the first time Jungkook saw her panic and heart broken.
"How could she suddenly change her mind Choon Hee?" Jungkook was pacing the room in anxiety.
"How the hell would i know. She said her husband at one time in college used to have huge crush on me and she didnt know earlier. This kid would always remind her of same shit and both of them decided they dont want to go though with it." Choon Hee was angry, not sad, just angry.
The rhythm of Facetime calls broke now, As taehyung's calls went unanswered.
"Did the paperwork checkout. Is there an exit clause?" Jungkook asked.
"I dont give a F if theres a clause or No JK. You heard it. If they dont want it, i am not dumping this child on them" She was shouting by now.
Jingkook asked her to calm down and they decided that he will once try and talk to both of them and see if there is really no chance and it might have n=been a momentary cold feet.
As Choon Hee obviously cannot travel, JK would go to them next day.... In New York.

Couple of more weeks passed and Before he could dwell more on it, time came for the debate on adoption bill. Seokjin called one day and thankfully Jungkook had just left for LA that time. Taehyung's heart was in his mouth as he picked up the call.
"You did it Taehyung-ssi. You Did it, From this day onwards, same gender couples have been categorically included in "Who can adopt?"" Seokjin was squeaking and laughing crying everything together.
Taehyung just fell on the floor. His work of 3 + years has fructified. The love of his life will be able to fulfill one thinf=g which he always wished for but could never ask Taehyung. '
His happiness and gratitude knew no bounds. He needed his husband. His Bun. And next ting he is diallin =g Jungkook. Again unanswered. He didnt think anything of it and booked the flight of same night for LA.

In the flight lot of things started circling his mind. He saw a lot of red flags. And the spiralling down started. It didnt help that it was a very long flight. So the anxieties only kept building up.
When he landed he again called Jungkook which again went unanswered. No Missed call alerts, no messages. He was out of network for 12 hours and Jungkook didnt try reach him once??
Not knowing what to do and still at the airport, he opened the shared location maps they has for each other.
It was a nightmare for taehyung. His Jungkook cant do this to him. Ney York, He cant be in New York and telling Taehyung he is going to LA just a day ago.
He messaged Jungkook, " Babe your location is showing NYC . You Told you were going to LA"
He read the message. Taehyung can See. Whats the reason when phone was in his hand he could answer his call. However, the response came - " Ah yes. Tae, the flight has a stop over at NYC and i am just whiling time till the flight takes off in few hours. Can you imagine babe, how tierd I am right now. I could use a hug :("
Taehyungs resolve of all benefits of doubts broke. This was a white lie. He couldnt find a direct flight and took a stop over flight for a city which isnt even on route?
Taehyung wasnt that big a fool. But he couldn't do anything about it right now. His phone battery conked off and he was very tired too. SO he checked into their usual hotel in LA. He could use some food, shower and a charger right now. He needed answers.
