Chapter 24

"I'm gonna have them today."

Harry tried to contain his squeal of happiness, but he failed pretty miserably. "Really? Are you sure?" he asked, nosing his mate's face affectionately.

"Positive."

Harry carefully climbed over the Omega to sit in front of him where he could be easily seen.

"What do you need, baby? Anything I can do for you?" he asked with a tilted head, petting Louis'arm."Well we've got quite a bit of time. I want our family here for the day until I'm ready. If you getthem here, that would be great," Louis responded, putting pressure on random parts of his bellywith a shaky hand."Of course, Kimi. I'll round everyone up right now, one second," said Harry, quickly popping upand jogging to the entrance, poking his head out into the dark morning. "CHIBS!" he roared to the chief warrior a couple of teepees down.The called Alpha tripped and stumbled out of his teepee, flailing his way through the snow untilhe got to Harry's home and stood at attention before him. "Yes, Alpha?" he asked diligently.

"Sorry for the rude awakening, Chibs. But before you ask, yes, that is Louis' labor you're smelling, and he's requested that our family spend the day with us while he progresses. So I need Perrie and Jade, Katniss and Peeta, Daven and Kurt, Norman and Joéna, Parsel and Draco, Ianalfto, and of course you and Jackson," he listed, smiling at Chibs' proud grin.

"Oh, Alpha. This is fantastic news! Go back inside, consider it done," said the warrior, raising hisknees to his chest with every step to get through the snow as quickly as possible.Harry chuckled at his enthusiasm and ducked back into his home, sighing pleasantly at the toasty temperature of its interior. It was unexpected, but it seemed as though Louis' body wassubconsciously radiating all of its warmth for the pups, and Harry worked on doing the samething.He sat down next to his red-faced mate and got a quilt to cover the Omega's lower half from thevisitors they would soon have. "Anything else I can do, my beauty?" he sweetly inquired."Uhh... yeah, take down some of these walls around the nest. I don't feel too protective over itright now, and I want to be able to see our family. I might ask you to put them back up though, so don't put everything back where it goes.""Of course, love," said Harry as he got to work on breaking down the height of the walls forhowever long Louis needed. As he was finishing the tired but ecstatic forms of everyonerequested began filing into the teepee.

They greeted the leader couple with respect and love, voicing their endless congratulations and taking their seats close to the nest, yawning uncontrollably but bombarding the expecting Mother with excited questions. When Ianalfto entered, Louis figured everyone that was going to be here had now arrived, but he was met with an unexpected surprise.

An alert Zayn walked an exhausted looking Niall through the entrance, and wrapped in a bundleof quilts in the Omega's arms, was baby Miri. Louis fought the urge to screech for Miri's sake,who was obviously asleep, but he did cry buckets from the sight.Niall met his brother's eyes and grinned as bright as the stars as the Beta pair walked very slowlyto the closest spot by Louis' head to sit, everyone making an easy path for them to get through.The Alphas hounded Zayn with claps on the back but the Alpha was extremely territorial anddidn't acknowledge them at all, following closely behind his Omega with his arms out, blockingMiri from anyone who would want to get too close.Nobody pushed it because they understood, and Niall was gently helped into a sitting position,Zayn taking a seat directly behind him and meeting Harry's gaze lovingly. "Hiya, Harry," he saidtiredly."Zayn," Harry greeted his brother with a wide grin, knowing he was the only Alpha wolf aroundthat didn't bother the new Father, and feeling rightfully smug about it."Louis, this is Mirima," Niall announced to the teary-eyed Omega, setting his baby down beforehim so Louis could see, Zayn barely but successfully allowing it to happen.Louis cooed at the tiny little bean, and it made his impatience to have his own worse than ever, but he is in labor after all, so he should stop complaining. "She's perfect, Nini," the Omegacomplemented, meeting his brother's similarly watery eyes. "I missed you so much, Niall. But Idon't even care anymore, look how busy you were," he professed, gazing back at the lovelysleeping puppy."Don't touch her, please," Zayn piped from his position behind Niall. "Only your's and Harry'sscent can mix with her directly like that, but... not yet. I'll let you later today, I promise. Just let me adjust to this," he informed apologetically, crawling over and taking Miri back in his arms before scooting away from Louis' nest."It's okay, guys. We understand. We're glad we could see her at all," said Harry, turning toaddress the rest of the family mates who were watching the scene before them in fierce adoration."Louis has asked us to come together on this day before he is ready for delivery, so Ian if youcould get your paint, and Jade if you could fetch some drums, we'll start the ceremony here. Weshould also get some food," Harry announced, pleased that everyone sprung into actionimmediately."Niall, what does it feel like?" Louis asked the blonde who was engrossed in making funny facesat Miri."Like you're getting ripped in half," Niall responded bluntly."Oh," Louis remarked. "That's great, thanks Niall.""Sorry, Lou. It's awful. But it's so worth it. Isn't it, Mimis? Isn't it worth it?" he cooed at his pup,giggling when he got a big smile in return.The wolves that left eventually returned with paint, soothing herbs, instruments, food, and bigvases of water. The tribe had either smelled or heard of Louis' delivery today, and baskets of little outfits and toys were starting to stack up outside the teepee. Daven was appointed to go outside and collect them every once in awhile.
