~Two weeks later~
They received a phone call from the police, updating them on what was happening. Turns out the man actually had a history of assault and was known by police. He had been charged and sentenced to 36 months in prison.
Everything was getting back to normal. Ian was gradually getting back to his old self, the memories were still there and he didn't think he'd ever fully forget, but he was getting better at putting them to the back of his mind. He'd had a couple more nightmares but they weren't as bad as that first night; he'd wake up, but feeling Anthony's presence close to him, he'd quickly fall asleep again knowing he was safe.
Anthony had still been trying to be intimate with Ian, but he'd be shut down everytime. He knew that Ian was finding it difficult, but it was getting frustrating. It hurt Anthony knowing that everytime he tried to do anything that his boyfriend was reminded of those horrible thoughts. Sure Anthony could get himself off, but it wasn't the same, he missed having Ian's touch and the closeness that sex brought the two of them.
They were out shopping and had currently stopped for lunch. They ate in comfortable silence. Anthony took a sip from his water, he raised an eyebrow as he noticed Ian squirming and looking slightly uncomfortable. He put his glass back down and reached over to touch Ian's hand.
"You okay?" Anthony asked, slightly concerned.
"Yeah...I just really need to pee." Ian answered, looking at him.
Anthony removed his hand from Ian's, picking up his fork again. "Oh alright, well then just...." Anthony stopped before finishing his sentence, noticing the worry in Ian's eyes; realisation hit him.
"Oh...." Was all he said. He looked around trying to think of something. He knew Ian couldn't not go, they weren't going to be home for a couple hours.
"Excuse me...." Anthony said to the middle aged couple sitting at the table beside them. They both turned to look at him. "Hi, we both need to go to the bathroom and I was wondering if you could just watch our table, and tell the waitress if she asks where we are?" Anthony asked kindly.
"Not a problem." The woman responded, giving him a small smile and went back to her conversation.
Anthony turned and received a small smile from Ian. They got up and headed to the bathroom. They entered, seeing two men at the urinals. Ian walked in further and headed into a stall, whilst Anthony went over and fixed his hair in the mirror.
He took out his phone and was just scrolling through twitter, when he suddenly felt a light tap on his ass. He looked up to see Ian making his way over to the sink, they looked at each other through the mirror and smiled. Ian washed his hands and walked over to the dryer. Anthony walked up behind him and placed a small kiss on the back of Ian's neck.
"Ugh could you two stop that. The mens bathroom is not a place for your gay love." A voice from behind came.
They both turned round to see a man looking at them through the mirror with a disgusted look on his face. He looked around late thirties, he was average height, skinny and wearing a suit that didn't fit correctly. His hair black and slicked into a comb over.
"Umm...we weren't even doing anything." Anthony replied.
"I saw you two making suggestive eyes at each other like your were just going to straight out start having sex on the floor."
Two men, who looked in their late twenties, were now washing their hands "Shut up, they weren't bothering anybody." The one in the hoodie said.
"Oh so that doesn't bother you?" The suited man snapped, turning round and looking at the him.
