Chapter 1- Skylar

"Oi you! Stop playing on the phone and get back to work!"

I turn to see my manager arms crossed death stare at me as I say, "There is no customers! What else can I fucken do?!"

He rolls his eyes and storms off.

Ugh the life of working in retail. A successful business which turns to shit in months for it to close down. Sanity. Most ol' style shop when everyone used to use and watch movies on dvds and listen to music on cds. Plus other bullshit in this shop.

My name Is Skylar, I'm 19 years old and home is Australia. Right in Brisbane Queensland.

I'm on my phone looking through tiktoks till customer walks up to me with 10 cds. All rock bands I kinda know. I smile and put phone down to see a tall , brunette olive ? Skinned guy grabbing his phone to use his card. I scan his cds for him and say,

"That should be 60 bucks for these. Would you like a 15c bag to carry these?"

He smiles at me and says,
"Sure why not?"

Gosh his brown eyes just make me melt. I quickly put his cds in the bag and hand them to him with the receipt.

"Thank you for shopping with Sanity."

He chimes at me and nods as he says,

"No worries. Sure gonna love these cds."

He leaves but I see a note on the desk. I look around to find hun but he has poofed. I pick it up and then hear,

"YOUR SHIFT IS Over ! Hurry up and leave!"

I grown and put the note in my bag as I walk past the managers room giving him the finger.

"Oh also here is my resignation." I slam it in his face and walk off to Carpark.

I get to my car unlocking with the keys , I take the note out and see a phone number and a smily face saying ,

"You look cute . Why not send me text and talk?"

I bite my lip and shake head. Nope I'm not into relationships. No more drama at the moment please...

I sigh as I turn the ignition on and my phone buzz. I see my brother calling me 4 times. I pick up and say,

"Yes Sebastian?"

"You home tonight?"

"Why?"

"I wanna have some mates over."

"Ugh fine just make sure they don't go in my room. I'll grab myself dinner now."

"Yay thanks sis . Love ya." BEEP BEEP!

Ugh my unit is going to be trashed -.-

I arrived to my unit with maccas in my hand seeing Sebastian had invited 5 friends over. They all turn to me and Sebastian smirks shouting,

"SISSY YOU ARE HOME!!"

Oh fuck me, he is already drunk. I put my food down on the bench as he runs over and tackle hugs me. I stumble falling against a warm tall person behind me. I blush pink a bit as Sebastian shouts,

"Timmy!!! Yayay you have arrived!"

The guy chuckles and I step back pushing Sebastian off as I shyly say,

"Sorry about that."

He chimes saying,

"No worries, siblings love tackling I see".

Sebastian grabs the guys arm and pulls him towards couch where they are playing games. He waved at me as i shyly wave back.
