Carbry
Carbry walked down the steps from his plane, grinning when he saw Ryker standing beside the town car door, garbed in a suit and sunglasses. His arrival didn't call for the formality, but Carbry wasn't going to complain.
He barked a laugh at Ryker's glare when he paused, and then he kissed the man's cheek before slipping into the car and smiling when he found his mate waiting for him.
Meriwa slid her arms around him as Ryker ducked into the car and sat down across from the two of them, pulling the door closed behind him and giving the order to move through his mic.
Shoving his glasses onto the top of his head, he smirked. "Welcome home, King Vampire."
"Daryl isn't home yet?" Carbry frowned, kissing the top of Meriwa's head, one hand sliding to her belly as she chuckled softly. He had assumed that the cowboy had gone home early when there was no request for a pick up along the route, as he had all but insisted on.
"He'll be landing in about an hour. We'll drop you two at home and then swing around to grab him." Ryker glanced at his watch, frowning.
"He flew commercial again, didn't he?" Carbry sighed and pinched his nose. "I thought his team understood..."
"D said it was ridiculous for you to fly across the continent to pick him up before getting home." Meriwa laughed and snuggled closer until she was nearly on his lap.
"Tell me that he's not flying coach." Carbry muttered, letting out a groan when Ryker gave him a deadpan look. "Why does he insist on being uncomfortable?"
"Because he insists on paying for it himself." Ryker smirked and pulled his earpiece out, though Carbry could hear the occasional chatter from across the cabin of the car.
Carbry nodded, rubbing Meriwa's belly for a moment. "How are you feeling, love?"
"Good. Ryker wanted to leave me at home. It was only because I'd be alone that I convinced him I wasn't a whale in need of staying put in a tank." She stuck out her tongue and Ryker, who laughed and rolled his eyes.
"She was with Sam all day, just got back earlier this morning. I figured she'd want to rest." He raised a brow, as if reading Carbry's mind, or line of thought. "You want to go somewhere else?"
Carbry nodded. "International airport, with you. We can all be there to see Daryl arrive." He paused, giving Ryker a curious look. "Unless you two wanted alone time?"
"Nah. I just figured with Meri..." Ryker glanced to her, rolling his eyes as she flipped him the bird. "Yes Princess, I'll get right on fucking you..."
"Ryker! Don't swear around the children!" Meri laughed and made a point of fully squirming into Carbry's lap, making him groan low. "That better be pleasure and not an exclamation about how fat I am."
"You are not fat, my love" Carbry kissed her shoulder, sliding his arms around her to rest his hands on her belly, though when she rocked her ass into his lap, he playfully nipped her shoulder.
Ryker leaned back in his seat, grinning as he watched before he lifted his wrist to change his orders into his mic. "We'll be a bit early."
"Oh, we could make him a sign." Meriwa laughed softly, before her grin became mischievous. "I can't wait till Ryker tells you..."
"It's a surprise." Ryker shot her a look, drawing a laugh out of Meriwa and a fair bit of curiosity out of Carbry.
Carbry raised a curious brow. "A surprise?"
