I stared at the ceiling of Ruby's dark room and had been tossing and turning all night. I had a headache and my ears were ringing. I heard the little voices in my head of my parents cursing and screaming. I got off of my mattress and realised that Ruby wasn't there. "Ruby?" I called."Ruby??" I said louder. I called her name so many times that lost count. I fell down into a heap on the floor as tears streamed down my cheeks while the room got darker and darker. I was scared. I then heard a little voice saying,"Ava?...Ava?...Ava wake up!" I woke up to see a worried looking Ruby. "You were calling me....Are you alright??"She asked. "Yeah..Yeah... I'm alright... I think." I replied.
Well do you know what happened?" She asked me. I explained to her the dream I had and she conforted me. " i just feel so alone... like no one understands what I'm going through." I said."Listen Ava. I want you to know that you will never be alone. There will always be someone there who will help you no matter what. Having Disabled parents can be hard but it doesn't change how much people love you. I for one love you for your personality. Your funny, kind, Loyal and Brave. I've never met anyone else who is as brave as you. No matter how tuff times get at home you don't complain and you move on. Clearly you've struggled to do that latley tho."
Me and Ruby talked for a bit longer before Ruby left to get some snacks. I then turned on my phone to hundreds of missed calls and messeges from everyone asking where I was. I then checked my Instagram accout and saw hundreds of missing posters all over my friends and relatives accounts. They were missing posters of.... Me? Ruby came up with the snacks and drinks and i showed her the posts."Your missing?! We need to take you home, Pronto!" She said. "No... Please..Don't let them take me home. Can i just stay here? Just for a few days?" I asked."Alright. But only for 3 days. Ok?" She said. I ran up to her and hugged her."Your the bestest friend i could ever ask for." I said " I don't know what I'd do without you Ruby."
