shortly after, she returned with a 2022 headband on her head of disheveled curls. "happy new years! i know i'm a little late but it's cool. i hope y'all enjoyin' your year so far, 'cause i am." her usual warm smile covered her face as she took a seat on her carpet living room floor.

"since it's a new year, i just want to say that it's time for new beginnings. it'a time to leave everything in 2021 in the past. new year, new memories. everything that's holding you back, it's time to let as As a person, you have to leave whatever is stopping you from being the best version of yourself, and if nothing's holding you back, it's time to be better even if you feel as you're enough now."

"y'all probably gettin' tired of me talking," Autumn let out a wry chuckle because there's something holding her back, and yet here she is preaching about letting negativity go and moving past barriers to her subscribers. hypocrisy at its finest moment.

"but that's all i hadda say, honestly." autumn leaned towards the camera, placing her lips on the camera lens carefully. "mwah! love you all, stay safe and see you next week!" once she had finished her signature sign-off, she stopped the camera from recording.

a proud smile engulfed autumn's features. she couldn't believed she managed to live up to her mind's expectations. ever since she was younger, watching other black girls' youtube channels was the only thing she did. autumn aspired to be just like them; vlogging their days out, doing trending challenges, and most importantly, having fun.

autumn had stars in her eyes at seeing some of her favorites: de'arra, aliyah simone, aaliyah, she could go on. seeing the same skin-color of hers inspired her lots, she wanted to create her own content and reach milestones just like they did.

doubt constantly brought her down, but her dreams only continued to push her harder. autumn's channel was getting closer and closer to half a million and she couldn't be more thankful for the amazing people she called her supports, or more-so, her youtube family.

her clouded thoughts kept her from hearing footsteps enter the room that she was in. autumn's roommate, or formally known as the sister she never had, kloè. she was one of autumn's biggest supporters and often encouraged her to continue filming videos even if she didn't get much from it.
