It was sudden, but it took what felt like eternity to fade away, as my eyes slowly came back into focus, blinking several times as I saw the familiar eyes, though no longer filled with humor, at least not at this time, and after a few seconds, he spoke. "a new challenger approaches, perhaps this one will master the use of bones." He says, before I slowly relaxed, looking down at the table, as the familiar parchment unrolled in front of me, and presented my options for this series of rounds, though before I could figure out which option would be more beneficial, I noticed the distinct lack of my figure I had grown accustomed to seeing. "ah, it would appear i had forgotten your figure. Get up, grab it." He tells me, almost in a commanding tone, as I slowly got up, turning to the side before walking, stopping once I had noticed something that was new, looking at what appeared to be an oil painting, noticing it was specifically of a board, with cards in specific spots. 'a squirrel, and a wolf... I doubt this is just for decoration, especially since it's new.' I think to myself, before continuing forward, grabbing the figure, and making my way back to the table, setting it down. "good, now, back to the game."

And with that, my figure continues on, first going to a spot on the map of parchment where I could get more cards, I flipped over the three cards, and looked at each of them. A cat, a wolf cub, and a worker ant. I initially went to grab the cat, as it could be very useful, especially since I was proven last time that it was more useful than I had given it credit, though much to my annoyance, and clearly to my opposers amusement, my hand grabbed the cub instead. Whatever was going on with my hands was annoying, but the way it chooses its cards is nothing short of absolutely infuriating in it's idiocy and non-compliance sometimes. I mentally sigh, before accepting the card I was given, setting it in my deck before continuing on through the map on the parchment paper setting in front of me. It was shortly after this, that I had more cards in my deck, and was watching the sacrificial stones in front of me. I looked at them closely as I was contemplating which of my cards to sacrifice, after learning what they did last time I tried to avoid them entirely, if what my opposer is true, then these cards, or whatever they are considered can feel the pain. After a few moments, I set the sacrifice, and who would receive the power.

I contemplate my choices for several moments, before nodding, watching as the sparrow I had only gotten moments before was now sacrificed, placing the sigil it beared, onto the card I had chosen, I grinned a small amount in satisfaction,as the winged sigil placed itself firmly onto the wolf cub, I had only used it a few times, but I was glad I had it, as I could now see it's use, even if I still preferred the cat over it, I could see the use of the cub, especially for the long-term use. And with that, my sacrifice was made, and the parchment returned, my figure bounced along it's way, and forcing me to encounter the next battle, and with that, the newest addition to my deck would be tested.

I stared at my starting hand, glancing over at the items I had, realizing I had never used them before, before reaching for one of them, a small bottle of bone tokens, thinking for a few moments before opening it, and placing the tokens to my left, as the bottle fizzled out of existence, before looking forward, placing my opposum, then one of my squirrels, and then followed by my cub, placing it behind a boulder on my opposers side of the board, before ringing the bell, commencing with my attack, as my opposer placed his card to attack my opposum next turn, I drew from my squirrel deck, placing it down before sacrificing for the caged wolf in my hand, to oppose the card that would be able to attack next turn, I didn't see it's purpose as anything but a blocker as I once again ring the bell, having my attack commence, as my wolf destroyed the boulder it was stuck opposed, as the card I was concerned with earlier came down, and attacked my cages wolf, killing it one attack, though something was weird, as I heard the distinct sound of something wooden breaking in the background, though before I could look around to see what it was, a wolf was placed where the caged one had been a moment prior, as I look up to see my opposers eyes filled with amusement, and satisfaction, almost as if he was ever so slightly pleased with this turn off events.
