A new avenger

2: Government

"Mr Parker, there is an avengers meeting going on in 5 minutes, please head to the office area on the 89th floor" Karen said over the loud speaker in Peter's room.

Peter groaned awakening from his sleep

"A meeting?, Since when?" Peter sighed.

"It's an emergency meeting made by SHIELD" Karen said.

Peter sighed and slipped on socks and shoes, he headed to the office on the 89th floor and entered the room, he saw tony standing there, he looked frustrated.

"Mr stark?, What's this about?, And why are you so frustrated?" Peter asked as he leaned against the wall behind everyone.

"Okay now that everyone is here, SHIELD told me to announce this to you all, so don't get mad at me, if you're gonna get mad get mad at them" Tony said before continuing.

"What is it Tony?" Vision asked as he tilted his head.

"Remember that masked person we were fighting last night, yeah, well now SHIELD wants them to be a recruit and wants them to join the avengers" Tony said.

"What?, They told us to capture them and now they want us to do that and try to get them on our side?, that'll never work" Sam said as he squinted his eyes.

"I mean it is smart, if she's too powerful to keep in a cell then why don't we make her one of us, I mean after all we do need some serious power like that" Nat says.

"are you crazy?!, she's like an atomic bomb that can be set off at any time" Steve says.

"exactly what we need in the case of an emergency" Tony says.

"I mean maybe it really could work..." Peter said from the back of the room, everyone except tony, nat and Wanda looked at him like he was crazy.

"What are you talking about Peter?" Wanda asked.

"Well I mean they obviously can't control their powers, at least that's what it looked like when they were supposedly fighting us" he said.

"And it didn't look like they wanted to hurt any of us when we fought them, I think they were just trying to defend themselves" he said.

"Plus their powers looked somewhat similar to yours Wanda, maybe their powers are somehow related to yours" Peter said, Wanda looked at him and thought to herself, she remembered the fight and agreed, nodding to Peter's statement.

"How would you know they couldn't control their powers Peter?" Tony asked as he gave Peter a stern look.

"I mean they looked like they didn't understand what was going on and how they were able to do the things they could" Peter said, he knew it was bad to lie to Tony but he couldn't let him find out he talked to the masked person alone.

"Yeah I did catch that, they didn't look like they had total control" Steve said.

"Okay fine, but how exactly are we gonna get them to come onto our side?, I mean our last run in wasn't a very good one" Tony said

"First we have to find them again, until then let's find ways to contain them until they trust us" Bruce said, everyone agreed and the meeting was dismissed.

"Mr stark I'm gonna go on patrol, I'll be back" Peter said, Tony nodded and Peter left to his room.

Peter opened his window and pressed on his watch three times, his new suit covered him and he jumped out his window, he swung from building to building keeping an eye out for any criminals or government people.

The government has been all over the news of Spiderman becoming an avenger, they've been keen on finding out spider man's identity but have been unsuccessful.
