I looked for Emilia in the crowded hall. I had never been so excited to study in my life. Then I saw her, her soft brown hair, her kind green eyes, her skirt that was just short enough to give you the idea of what was underneath it. Usually I didn't like her skirt length, knowing that every guy in the school was waiting for her to drop something and bend over to pick it up, but right now I was to excited to care. "Hey Emi." I wrapped my arms around her waist, hugging her from behind, picking her up and spinning in a circle. "PUT ME DOWN XANDER!" she laughed so I knew she wasn't actually mad. "Ok beautiful, I'll put you down." When I put her down we stood there, in the hallway, gazing into each others souls; it felt like we were the only 2 people there, like no one else was left on Earth except for us. Then someone walked directly into Emilias shoulder; completely shattering our moment of peace together. I turned to look at who had walked into her and was met with the biggest douchebag at this school. "Oh, shit, sorry Emilia." Tanner apologized, not actually meaning it. "Oh, it's ok Tanner. Don't worry about it." Emi said way too sweetly.

I loved how sweet she was, but only when it was towards me, the guys, or her family. I didn't even like it when she was sweet to older men when we went out. I especially hated her sweetness when it was towards guys around our ages; I knew what they were thinking about. They wondered if she was really as sweet and as innocent behind closed doors as she was in public. About what she was wearing under her short little outfits, if she was actually wearing anything at all. About how soft her skin must feel and about all the cute little noises she would make in bed. I know this because I've thought about it a few times too, actually, a lot more than a few, more than I should have being one of her best friends.

"I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to bump into anyone. Especially not some one as cute as you." I rolled my eyes and Emilia blushed at his cheesy compliment. "No, no, it's, um, totally ok, really, um, not a scratch on me." She was a stuttering mess.

Why do girls always fall for this dumb shit?

He stared at her with wolf-like eyes and a shit-eating grin. "Hey, you never called me on Saturday? What's up with that?" She blinked back at him with a worried expression. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry! You said to call when I wasn't busy and then I was busy with Stefan after and then I forgot to call even though I told myself I should have but then I fell asleep and now I'm rambling. I am so so sorry Tanner." She gave him a shy smile and was out of breath from talking so much. He tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "No, it's ok Emilia. I'll just call you later tonight how does that sound." He was standing over her, almost forcing her into the wall, and that was when I had had enough of this conversation so I decided to step in. "I think she's good Tanner. There's no need to call her tonight. She's gonna be busy." He scoffed at me. "Busy with what?" I looked him directly in the eyes and said "Busy with me, Tanner." He rolled his eyes. "Whatever. I'll see you around Emilia. Bye." He kissed her forehead while staring into my eyes, like he was trying to prove something to me. My hands were balled up into fists, my veins were popping out, and I knew that my face was red with anger. I felt exactly how he wanted me to feel, pissed off. But Emilia just stood there, giggling over what had just happen. I was about to follow him when Emi was pulled out of her trance to stop me. "Xander what's wrong?" She asked concerned. Her calling me that seemed to calm me down. Her voice soothed me. Just her presence took away all of my worries. "Say my name again." She looked confused. "Alexander?" "No the other one." She made and 'O' shape with her perfectly plump lips. "Xander." breathe in "Say it again." "Xander." breathe out "Again." "Xander." breathe in "One more time." "Xander." breathe out. She looked at me with her green doe eyes looking for a sign that I was okay. "Thank you Emi. Let's get out of here."

After a 30 minute drive we finally made it to my house. I went around the car and opened up Emi's door like I always do and took her hand to help her out. When we made it inside I could see all the wonder in her eyes. "Yea, we, uh, just finished up the remodel. You like it?" I asked. "it's beautiful. But your house was always beautiful." She looked over at me. I couldn't help but smile at her. Her hair was down and there was a light flush on her cheeks. She had taken off her saddle-shoes and was now only wearing white knee socks, her plaid uniform skirt, and her white short-sleeve button down which she had untucked. "I always think you look the most beautiful like this." She tilted her head at me and looked at me with curious eyes; the blush now very noticeable. "What do you mean?" I didn't want to scare her with my love for her or how I thought she was the most beautiful girl in the world. Prettier than any model in a magazine. More beautiful than Aphrodite; to me she was a goddess. To make sure she wouldn't be afraid of my love, I resorted to flirting. "I've always had a thing for Catholic school girls." She rolled her eyes and looked away after my comment. She backed slightly when I walked closer to her. "It's the whole innocent thing," I played with her dainty gold cross necklace, "you know?" When I placed the necklace back on her soft skin she took off running while laughing. I shook my head and then ran after her.
