Chapter 11 - Realization

“Ring...!”

The phone rang. Lee Rin pulled up her phone to see who was calling her.

She lifted her eyebrow in confusion, “Mom.”

“Rin’er, my daughter. We have a banquet in this upcoming month. This banquet was abruptly made by the three major families in the Capital. Anyway, be sure to go home when the time comes. This old lady and the old man at home misses Yan Yan very much. Bring back Yan Yan with you.”

“I got, Mom. What's the banquet all for?”

Du Ruan paused for a bit, “This... I’m not sure about the current situation, but your Dad may be clear about it. All I know is that this banquet decided the future situation of the economic condition of the three major family. But don’t worry about it, this small episode will eventually pass.”

The two chatted on the phone for a few minutes before hanging up.

Lee Rin frowned. It seems that this banquet is not simple. It concerns the economic status of the three major family in the Capital. Lee Rin hurriedly turned around, “Baby, what’s wrong?”

“Mama, are we leaving?” Lee Yan asked confusingly. After he walked to the living room from the master bedroom, he heard his grandmother’s voice. He also caught the word ‘go home’. And he knew that going home means that they'll need to come back.

“No! I want to go home with Mom. Grandma said that home is very beautiful. It is where you lived when you were just small like Yan Yan.” The little boy said joyously. He has been hearing his grandmother saying how good their home was, and also how there were many delicious foods there. Most importantly, he wants to see the place where his mother spent when she was still young.

Grandma said that when Mom was still small like Yan Yan, she lived there. So he was really happy and excited when he heard that they were going back.

Lee Rin playfully tapped her son’s cute nose. “Alright, we'll go home next week.”

Fu Wen was sitting on a black luxurious sofa inside his room. In his hand was a photo book. He was staring at the certain photo lying inside the photo book.

On the photo, a small child, about three or four years old, was smiling stupidly to the camera. His smiling face looks cute and one couldn’t help but want to pinch his cute chubby cheeks.

However, Fu Wen who was staring at the photo, had a solemn face.

He kept staring at the photo before eventually closing it with a sigh.

‘It’s the same.’

The child on the photo was him. It was his picture when he was just four or five years old.

He took it out to find answers for his questions.

But this time, it was because she earned lots of money by investing and being investment consultants of many big shots, and was preparing to establish her own company.

He was shocked when he found out about this. He never thought that she would have the ambition and determination to set up a company. Starting from that onwards, he watched her step by step. He watched her established her own company from being a no name company to a well known company.

As a person who also experienced how to build an empire from a scratch, he knew how hard it was. His initial dislike for her disappeared little by little, until it was left with nothing. All he can feel to her was admiration to his kind. He admired her strength, her wisdom, her determination, her confidence and many more.
