Amritsar,Punjab!

Heer Ranjha, sohni Mahiwaal, saasi Pannu you probably have heard those names. Right?

The famous love stories of my Punjab!

Well these are only few names from the epic love tales of this magical land of us Five rivers!

Yes us Five rivers!

I am Beas, one of the famous Five rivers of Punjab!

I along with my sisters Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej have ruled over people's heart since ancient times!

We five were as joyous as the people of our land!

We saw everything, from the rise to fall of different Empires!

We saw the sages of our ancient land distrubing thier vast knowledge among thier disciple's , than we saw invaders invading looting our golden bird of the land!

With thier lootings we saw them erasing the knowledge of our great sages and instilling superstitions in our people!

We saw how our people were tortured by those invaders who are now unfortunately glorified in history books! But we can't do anything as no one will listen to us!

As all we can do is see and just helplessly see them get glorified!

Just as we saw the rule of those invaders!

We saw the rule of vicious Mughals with the arrival of Babur, we also witnessed the birth of new ideology! The ideology of our Nanak, Baba Nanak! Than we saw those saints of Nanak turning into warrior saints under the leadership of our Guru Gobind Singh!

Than the rise of Banda Bahadur, next to him was the golden age of Punjab under Our son, our lion Sher-i-punjab Ranjit Singh!

We were also saw new invaders from Britain capturing the golden age of Punjab!

We saw them taking the heir of our Ranjit his son Dileep from our lap to thier kingdom's heart London!

Than we saw the fire of struggle in Bhagat Singh and his fellow freedom fighter's eyes which led to the final independence of our land!

We were happy but our happiness was short lived!

Though our Country was finally free and we five sisters were happy but than our own sons divided us!

They divided us for thier selfish reasons!

Sutlej and I were left on this side but jhelum and chanab were left on the other! While our Ravi,she became the messanger,  half the time she was on this side and the other half on the other side!

She carried stories from this side to that!

And today I had an excited thing to tell her that she will tell my other sisters!

Well I saw the rebel leaving Amritsar in the middle of night!

I know she was going to Jaipur today, well her destiny lies there alas!

I am just a bit worried that will she be able to cope with the harshness of the sand of Rajasthan as she is going from the Joyous waters of Punjab were she never experienced dryness!

But I know she will be alright because she is thier granddaughter!

And I am personally a fan of them!

The most unique couple and my favourite too!

I am witness of thier lovestory!

Well it started on my shore too!

I was telling you about those famous love stories from our land right?

Well they all are about dieing for your love! That's epic right that one can even give thier life for love!

But thier story is unique it's about living for your love! How one can live for the person they love!

It is the story of a Naive Rebel and her soldier!

It is story of Dilsher Singh and his Chandji!

I am ready to tell thier tale!
