It was as if fate itself had some sort of vendetta against you. Don't get me wrong, you liked doing your job and helping those around, but this was too much. You worked as a doctor with a healing quirk, which had secured your position as head doctor. You were currently healing the wounded victims of a villain attack. They were in critical condition, but luckily you were able to stabilize them easier with your quirk.

This is how it has been all day, it seems the villains are getting bolder. That certainly isn't a good thing, but luckily there are quite a few heroes that would happily deal with them, it made your job easier. You always did kind of admire the brave souls that protected the civilians from the evil in the shadows.

The one in particular that caught your attention was no other than the number one hero himself. It would be a lie if you said you didn't have a little crush on him. Okay, maybe it was a big one. How could you not though? He was always so positive and brave, smiling in the face of danger. Not only that, but he was a super tall muscular man. Many of his fans would swoon over him.

The sounds of a stretcher being hurriedly rolled across the hospital floor broke me out of my thoughts. I rushed over to assist them and I could immediately tell the person was no longer breathing. I jumped on to the stretcher and began to do chest compressions and mouth to mouth. The person was a scrawny yet tall older man. He almost reminded you of a skeleton with his closed sunken eyes and his sharp features. His hair was a mess of golden locks with two long bangs, that you had to gently brush aside.

After pulling away from his mouth after giving him two breaths. You placed the defibrillator on his chest and on his side. "Clear!" You announced as you stopped all contact with him so the shock can go through. You continued this process until you were able to get him in a room and we're able to hook him up to some machines to monitor his heart rate and breathing. It took a while before his heart rate picked back up.

You had just finished giving him one last breath, as you pulled away he stirred. He slowly opened his eyes, or at least you thought he did. It was hard to tell for sure. You got a relieved smile, moving off of him, "He's conscious. Thank goodness..." He looked pretty confused as he glanced around the room. He awkwardly scratched his neck, about to speak, before a shot of pain made his face scrunched up as he grasped his side.

You gently reached out to him, taking off the defibrillator from him and gently moving his hand from his side, "Here, let me look at that." He stared at you before giving a small nod.

"Please," his voice was much deeper than you expected, it made a blush creep up the back of your neck and to your cheeks. I carefully lifted his shirt and my draw partially dropped. He was practically bones, but what really surprised you was the massive injury on his side. It was huge, it spread like it was some sort of spider web of misery that was a shade of purple and red. I inspected it carefully, making sure not to touch it, though it looked like it was an old wound. It pulsed under my gaze before I ghosted a finger across it, activating my healing quirk.

It soothed the wound, making the pain become dull, though the most it could do was reduce the size of it by barely a quarter. I closed my eyes as I focused on the aspects of the wound, it had ruined some of the internal organs like his lungs and stomach. Though it looks as though those were already handled to a degree. They'd be completely unfixable, which would explain why he looked so... skinny. A frown graced my lips as I slowly opened my eyes, I retracted my hand from his side.

"Sir, I'm sorry but there isn't much I can do about this wound, at least right now. I want you to come see me more often so I can work on it. I'm sure with enough visits I can get this thing fixed. Your name is Toshinori Yagi, right?"
