It's Time For A Check Up

The light shined through the blinds and right into your eyes. You groan and rub your eyes, sitting up and getting out of bed. You were never a morning person, but if you get up you can do more stuff in the day. You made a simple breakfast, before going to take a quick shower. The water was nice and warm against your skin. You washed your hair and then your body, before rinsing off. You brushed your teeth, turned off the water, and dried off. You put on some makeup and once your hair was no longer wet you brushed it.

You looked down to the wound on your side, since you used your quirk on Toshi you had taken part of the injury. Luckily it healed much faster than you were expecting it to. The only bit that was left was the size of a penny. It stung, but it was manageable. You couldn't imagine what it was like for him to experience that every day. You put on the outfit you had picked out and inspected yourself in the mirror. You looked good, hopefully Toshi likes it. Wait, why would that matter? Well, you knew why it would, but you didn't want to admit it.

You shook your head and made your way out of your house for a small walk to get a breath of fresh air. If you do it enough it would become a daily routine. The walk only took a short amount of time, maybe at some point you'd even start to jog it. You chuckled to yourself, as if that'd happen. You made your way back home after the walk, looking to your phone to check the time. It was only 9:00 AM, you still had 5 hours to kill. Maybe once you got home you could watch some T.V.

You came back inside and took off your shoes, after locking the door. You sat on your couch and laid back. You scroll through the channels mindlessly before settling for the news. A newscaster was interviewing All Might from the looks of it. He was dressed in his usual hero costume with his large grin and a wide pose with his hand on his hips. A mugshot of the criminal from last night was put on screen. You were listening, though the sound of his deep voice was soothing you. Your eyes shot open when you saw a picture of you and All Might on screen. It was when he embarrassed you! How'd they get that picture? All Might seemed a little surprised by this too, judging by how his shoulders moved.

Newscaster: "All Might, this picture was taken of Dr. (Y/N) and you. We didn't know you had connections to the number 1# Doctor in Japan! Please, you must tell us, are you two in a relationship?"

You choked as you took in a sharp breath. What were they thinking, asking questions like that? Oh man, this couldn't be any worse. You know as soon as you go anywhere people will begin to bombard you with questions. It was one of the biggest reasons you weren't a hero, you didn't want the publicity.

All Might: "Well, er, it's not a romantic relationship. We are very good friends, that's all."

Newscaster: "But do you wish it was more? You hesitated."

All Might: "Well, that's a tricky question. I mean a man can only hope for such things. Who wouldn't want a beautiful and kind woman such as her?"

Newscaster: "Aw, that sounds so sweet! Hopefully she hears this!"

All Might seems to stiffen up a little at that, just the tiniest twinge of nervousness tugging at the corner of his lip, but he kept his smile. Your jaw dropped, and you felt like your eyes were about to pop out of your skull. Surely he couldn't have meant it. Maybe he was just trying to be nice. Yeah, that's probably, there is no way he'd actually want to be with me. I mean he's All Might, he probably already has a lady by his side. You sighed softly and shut off the T.V., you had enough of that for today.

Still though, just the idea of him liking you like that made your stomach tight in knots. What if he really did mean it? What would you tell him? What if he thought you only liked him because he was All Might? That wasn't true at all, you liked him as he was. He didn't need to be a big hero just so you'd like him. For now you just have to pretend you didn't see it, it would just make things awkward.
