Ruby/Red Diamond and the Crystal Gems

Steven and Connie

"Hahahaha hahahaha!" Steven and Connie were at the beach looking for sea shells together and playing in the water.

Once they had filled their buckets and were tired from playing in the waves, they headed back to the temple. "I had fun today Steven." Connie said, you could see the blush on her cheeks growing. "Me too Connie. Would you like something to eat? Looks like we got, macaroni and cheese and some leftover cake from my birthday. I'm surprised that Amethyst didn't eat it all ready." Steven had a small blush on his cheeks as well. "No, I'm good." Coonie had replied.

Then the warp pad lit up as the Gems came back. "The Gems are back, the Gems are back!" Steven said running up to Garnet to give her a hug.

"Steven, do you want to come with us on a mission? We need to collect some mystical gem plants of your mother's that are blooming." Garnet said with a hint of a smile on her lips. Pearl: "We are going to move them to your mother's garden so that they came grow with the rest of her plants." Amethyst had wandered into the kitchen and was eating the last of the cake in the fridge while the conversation was taking place.

Steven: "I would normally love too, but Connie's parents aren't going to pick her up for, like, another 2 hours. I don't want to leave her here alone." He gave them pleading eyes and Connie crossed her fingers behind her back.

Pearl: "Maybe you could get your dad to-" Garnet: "No. Connie can come too." Pearl: "A-alright, as long as you think it will be safe for her to come..." Connie and Steven: "Yes! Woohoo!" They gave each other a high five.

Amethyst: "Ugg, let's just go already." Steven: "Ooh ooh, can I warp us there?" Garnet: "Sure Steven."

After they had warped to their destination, Steven and Connie looked around. C: "Wow! This place looks amazing!" G: "Steven, you should look around with Connie, seeing as this is her first mission with us. Go have fun!" Another smile was playing on her lips like she knew something that no one else did, which was very likely considering she had what Steven called 'future vision'.

S: "Um, ok..." C: "Come on Steven! Let's go exploring!" P: "Ok, but stay near the warp pad!" C and S: "We will!" They said and ran off into the trees.

After a few minutes of wondering around, they got bored and walked back to the warp pad. C: "This is cool and all going on a mission with you, but there isn't much to see around here." S: "There's usually something interesting going on when I go on missions with the gems."

They had decided to go help the gems with the plants when the warp pad activated...
