The Queen set out to town once she got the coordinates of her son, bringing her two princesses with her. “Your brother has been washed by these- these townsfolk. When we arrive, don’t do anything the townsfolk tell you to do. Just follow your mother in finding your brother.” she heard two ‘okay’s as she continued her journey. Once the horse carriage had gotten to the house that Yoongi had been staying in for a while now, she got off and knocked on the door, awaiting an open door. The door opened, and there stood her son, Min Yoongi. “Mother.” Yoongi was surprised to see her standing there. “What are you doing here? I thought I told you I’m not going back, I live here now.”

“I understand. But the kingdom is under war with another. You need to get back and make sure the- what has happened to your eye?”

“Oh, uh. I..ran into a sign. It cut my eye, my nose and my cheek, but I’m fine.” The Queen stood there in shock. “My baby. Oh..” she grabbed Yoongis face into her hands, rubbing his cheek. “Don’t worry, we can try to fix it. The doctor is a pretty good one.”

“Mother, no. I will not have you treat me like a child.”

“Yoongi~!!”

I have to go, mother. My boyfriend is calling me in.”

“Don’t you want to say hello to your sisters? The princess’?” Yoongi looked over to see Yoonji and Nimjoo staring back at him. Bowing his head. “I don’t know if they want to see me. I ran away from them twice, I’m not a good brother.”

“Of course you are. They’ve been waiting and waiting for you. Excited for the day you finally come home.”

“Mother, stop guilt tripping me. It won’t work.”

“How else am I supposed to get my baby home?!” His mother shouted at him. “Don’t you dare yell at me again like you did when I was 12. Goodbye.” Yoongi was about to shut the door when his mother shoved the door open, backing Yoongi into a wall in the house. “Listen to me, young man. You have been nothing but trouble these 10 years you have been alive. When you were 4, you started making your trouble. I will not have that again. Got it?” Yoongi kept his eyes on his mothers, gawking at her. “M-mother, I-”

“No, you are a disgrace to this dynasty. You know a scar is against the kingdoms rules.”

“Well I’m not in the kingdom, aren’t I, mother?”

“No but-”

“Then I do not need to follow your rules. I’m grown now, mother. I’ll say hello to my sisters and then you shall be on your way.” Yoongi walked out with his mother to the carriage. The two princesses got out of the car, standing in front of Yoongi. “Brother.” Yoonji spoke. Yoongi stared at the two. “Yoonji. Nimjoo.” the two bowed before him. The three standing in silence. Taehyung walked out, “Hey Yoongi, I have the bath all ready for- you..” looking at the four standing outside, and the carriage. “Yoongi, baby.” Yoongi looked back. “Oh, love. Hi there. These are my two sisters and my mother. My mother is trying to guilt trip me into coming back to the kingdom, then tells me I’m a disgrace to the dynasty all because of my sore on my eye.”

“It will never do. He won’t be fit for a King once he comes back, he’ll have his head cut off.” Taehyung shivered and pulled Yoongi back to him. “He’s fine as a city boy. I taught him all he has to know about the city and more.” The Queen scoffed and pulled Yoongi to her. “I know what’s best for my son. All we have to do is cover up the scar with some facepaint and then he will rule the kingdom.” A crowd gathered arond as Yoongi was thrown back and forth between his boyfriend and his mother, getting sick of it. “Enough!” He shouted. The four looking at the prince standing between all of them. “I will not be thrown around like a ragdoll. Mother, I am not coming back. Taehyung, you have nothing to do with this. Yoonji, Nimjoo, I’m sorry for running away a second time. Thirdly, why the hell would I want to become King after all you did to me, mother? Father did not approve of this. He wanted the best for me, but you wanted princesses, did you even want me?”

“Yoongi-”

“No, I will not tolerate this anymore. I will not stand here and argue about what’s best for me. I know what’s best for me, I know what is going on with my life. I know that I have a life in the city, that I need to be here. It’s my destiny. My path. I will not let you stand in the way of that, mother. Please, just let me go. I promise to visit, but please. Leave me. Alone.” Yoongi panted softly, crossing his arms afterwards before clearing his throat. “Do you have anything to say to me?” The Queen cleared her throat. “I will give you one more chance. Come back home, or face the consequences.”

“I think you have given me enough consequences growing up.”

“Just listen to me, son-”

“I am not your son. Anymore. Nor am I a Prince to you.” His mother became frustrated, pulling Yoongi into the carriage, along with her daughters. Taehyung followed and pulled Yoongi out of the carriage gently. Yoongi looked at his boyfriend, furrowing his brows. “Thank you.” he bowed respectfully, hugging him tightly. “Min Yoongi, get back in here!”

“You cannot force me to become King, I don’t even want to become King. Have Yoonji become queen, I don’t care. Have someone rule over the kingdom.” He walked into the house and sat down on the couch, sighing. “I hate you, mother.” he whispered to himself. Taehyung walked in with a concerned look on his face. “What was that?”

“My mother tried forcing me back into the Kingdom. Ever since my father passed, she’s gotten more controlling and trying to get me to be King so someone can rule after she passes. She doesn’t realize she has my sister, Yoonji who can definitely rule over the kingdom with no absolute problem.” Yoongi explained. Taehyung sat down next to his lover, rubbing his back. “I understand, love.”

“No, you don’t. You didn’t come from royalty, or high wealth, in a kingdom. Raised as a Prince. a loving family.”

“Yoongi?”

“Yeah?”

Taehyung took his smaller, veiny hands into his large, tan hands. “Have you heard of the Kim Kingdom?” Yoongi looked at him. “Yeah. The Min clan has been in war with them for many years. Why? You know about it?” Seeing a nod of a head, he sat confused. “I don’t just know about it. I’m in it.”

“What do you mean?”

“I’m also a Prince.”
