A high wind blows through the air as the tears of the clouds fall from the sky onto the land on Earth, hitting each piece of land there is. As the young Ruberine woken up from the fall she took to get away from those guards, she struggles to get back up on her own since her body felt sore, after all she did fall down by herself which was a dangerous risk, but she did get knocked out after getting hit with a rock while being underwater. She was just glad that she didn't died.
Ruberine looked up to the sky, filled with darkness and tears. She let out a low sigh, thinking what was she going to do now. She nearly lost everything, she ran away from home, she's hunted by the guards, and she lost her only mother. All now is left is to find a better home or somewhere to stay for the night. As she brushed herself off and walked down the rivers pathway, it seemed that she ran out of what she had left inside of her. There was no emotion that could awaken her from the terrible experience she had in her whole life, she was too young, too young to be out on her own, too young to walk amongst the river side away from home, too young to lose the one mother she loved. Her hope was down the drain, and not even that small paper, now lost to the river and sea, could wake her up from this nightmare.
She shivered as she rubbed her arms with her hands as she walked amongst the side to find a small cave nearby, it didn't look like any animal was living there, besides it was too small for a bear to live it, and skunks along with raccoons and opossums lived somewhere in the forest, not in a cave down below. So she squeezed herself in the cave and laid against an rough rock the rest her little head. "What am I gonna do mother?" Ruberine asked as she slowly closed her eyes. "What will I do?"
🔷🔷 The next morning 🔷🔷
As the golden sun rose from the horizon and the lovely birds chirped all around, Ruberine was awoken with a soft poke on the cheek and a faint fishy smell. Once she opened her eyes just a little bit and made a soft moan, she saw a fisherman carrying a bucket of fish with him and a fishing rod on his back. "Hey, you ok there young one?" The fisherman asked as Ruberine got up and covered her mouth, she didn't want to throw up because of the smell. "N-not really..." Ruberine stuttered, "I lost my mother, ran away from my home, and I don't know what to do..." She explained. "Why didn't you head back home then?" The fisherman asked, "Because the home I lived in was a death trap! The Emperor barely cares about the villagers, killers and robbers a running rampage, we barely have food left, and the guards are after me to execute me next!" Ruberine replied in fear, she was not having it at all. Ever since birth, she considers her life sort of like hell since she was only 5 when the emperor came around.
"Oh dear, that must've been awful." The fisherman said. "It is." Ruberine agreed, "I need a place to hide for a while until I can find a way to get back at that Emperor and save everyone." She explained and she got out of the cave with the fisherman, "Little girl, I don't think a young individual like you are ready to fight an adult. But you can stay at my village for now." The fisherman advised and offered, "Hopefully your town isn't a death trap like mine." Ruberine mumbled, unaware that the fisherman heard her. "It isn't. Just follow me." The fisherman said as he walked down the path to his town as Ruberine followed him. "I forgot to ask you, what is your name?" The fisherman asked, "My name is Ruberine, Ruberine Gohar." Ruberine said, mentioning her full name. "Mine is Ronald Henderson." Ronald said, introducing himself, "Say, I haven't heard the name Ruberine before. I always heard the name Ruby, both end with y or ie." Ronald mentioned. "That's because my mother made it for me. It's an extended version of the original." Ruberine explained. That's how it always been, people are shocked when they hear the name Ruberine, they've never heard it before, and some even considered to use it sometime. "Well you mother has some creative taste. If only she didn't die I would love to see her." Ronald said with pride. Ruberine couldn't agree less.
